Sometimes it's hard to determine is your line of fire clear especialy with across map sniper shots in aimnas so I'm suggesting that some straight line can be drawn onscreen from one point to another and then you can see is your shoot clear, blocked, lot of clutter on the way or anything.
I'm not suggesting something that will tell you 100% is your shoot going to pass thru all the trees, 3 windows, fence etc. and show you where it will exactly land, just to have some straight line on the screen so then you can use your own judgement if there is clear line or some object may disrupt it's travel path. Also it doesn' need to calculate merc aiming skill and scatter area, just some straight line.

Can work something like this:
1. select merc (or if possible starting tile so you don't need to have merc there)
2. select target (or finishing tile)
3. some line is drawn across between those 2 points on screen, map, minimap(in corner) or path of tiles highlighted in floor like 1 tile wide tunnel vision..

Hmm. Simply using the display when using the [End] key does not help?

It (end) helps if hard object is in the way but not with live ones like soldiers and cows. Sometimes I'm not sure if (especialy on long distance shots) mercs, militia, civilians etc. are on direct/bullet line to my target so I sometimes stretch piece of string on my monitor with map on (insert) but it works only if point 1 and 2 are not further than map edges.

Line would help in cases like avoiding friendly fire, waiting for useless grunt with gun to move away so I can have clear shot on high threat elite sniper, avoiding civilian casualties.
