r6320 (I know I should update, but I really do just want to play)

Im very limited in my modding knowledge. How would I check the the gas mask's tag? Forgive my ignorance.

Speaking of which, its been so long since I uploaded a save game on any forum, anywhere (2 years I think...), I can't remember how. Please don't laugh too loudly while you type the instructions on how to upload to this site. Embarrassed

If you ever run XML Editor, it's possible it overwrote/delete some of the tags. When doing XML edits prefer doing by manually(i.e using notepad or similar). I'd say backup your savedgames/ ini files and reinstall.

Hmm. After waiting a few days, I once got it... but then I can't repeat it. Weird.

Well, i've installed non-gold english Ja2 and still has that trouble, a bit less often, but still.
Here save from new game, where i have tried 10 or so times to pass 14:57 or 14:58 timeline (from 14-00 autosave), but always encountering that error. There is one soldier fleed from Drassen airport, but at previous attempt start new game, i didn't see any coincidence with that crash, there was 3 or more survivors and error doesn't happen more or less often.

BTW, right now was same error but with "Line 6468 ...", just noticed.

PS - new bug in sector inventory. Sometimes "Sort ammo into crates" function generates a lot of empty boxes, picrelated. If i'll click on "Sort ammo into crates" again, it will generate even more empty crates and so on.

PPS - And another piece of news: Looks like that trouble doesn't happen on moments when mercs goes into sector with enemy anymore.

Aaaand another news - One of my merc stuck with "Blood binding" visual effect, although i'm pretty sure that psyker long time dead.

Hi Flugente, Is it possible to provide quick fix, maybe just EXE will be great so that we can continue playing.

... the game tries to remove soldiers from one sector, but somehow, the number of soldiers does not add up... And in that case, the game decides to crash. Just that. The code literally says 'Go crash', without any explanation at all, or any attempts of repair. ...


Of course enemy soldiers escaped from battle, it is normal. I killed with GABBI but it does not prevent game crash.

Are you still working on mod, or now mod mostly done? I like mod, I like very much! Keep working! Smile

Flugente found bug to be caused by code handling mismatch in enemy soldier amount by forcing game crash here: http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/board/ubbthreads.php/topics/326345/Re_Bug_reports.html#Post326345

Possibly code is very old and part of original game. Finding cause could be difficult. But writing handler to continue game is possible I think. No need for full version download, just patch is fine. Currently game cannot be played to end, I try many different ways, it always crashes.

No, didn't mean to fix or change anything related to random crashes, Greyserg report another bug 'Sometimes "Sort ammo into crates" function generates a lot of empty boxes' which seems to be related to sector inventory.

I was recently change some function in sector inventory to gain performance, this seems related but although I didn't change anything in that function so maybe is older bug. Anyway couldn't recreate problem so need savegame from Greyserg which is not available to download, do you made to download it from link http://rghost.ru/49322747 ?

This is probably not the correct savegame (I downloaded greyserg's too, but have no idea to which folder), but this one from Kingslayer should work just as fine, since its the same exe and everything. This was with a r6462 exe if I recall.

I don't recall an xml error back when I made and played this. Be sure to check your installation process - if you use a SCI newer than the one this was built for, changes in xml structure might lead to that error.

As far as support goes - quite a few of the features introduced here have long found their way into the trunk. There are still a few features exclusive to this (power armour & Battle Sister, Commissar, Psyker, demonic posession, dynmaic chaos paths, plasma weaponry...), but updating this to the current trunk would quite a piece of work, I don't plan to do that.

I know the mod is a outdated, so the SCI's do not match, and it seems impossible to get the one the installation forum meets right now. Is the mod still playable with the current SCI's you can get now?

I guess somewhat playable should be possible, but basically all data of the mod will have to be hand-merged into the current SCI, otherwise weird errors could occur (like the non-mod provided xmls using tags the old exe doesn't know...).
