Finally, ini options have been set to provide a challenging but fair game environment with the intention for balance.


Also with VR having more than a few extra features, we also needed a few extra keyboard shortcuts, listed below:

- Ctrl+D - skip interrupts for this merc only (original interrupt system)
- Ctrl+Alt+D - skip interrupts for player team (original interrupt system)
- use [l] key to raise your weapon or binoculars then right click to scan
- use [u] key to manually unjam gun*

*Due to 1.13 having so many gun jams an unjam feature was added where mercs can attempt to unjam their weapon. Enemies also have this ability and it is bound to be a common sight on the battlefield. We recommend keeping LESS_JAMS ini option set to TRUE, unless you want repeated veiwings of your team and opponents unjamming their weapons, especially at the start of the game when Arulco's army has poor quality guns.

Hi, it keeps sayin smackw32.dll file is missing, which is not, because this file is just there. But its ok for me, I guess I am gonna wait until the final version is out anyway. I hope, its not going to be forever, because this finally looks great and I appreciate you stick with the old fashioned inventory too. Thanks

Issues with smackw (which is mainly for front end movie animations) could be just an install error and is an old problem, but not one I've heard for a while. Try installing your base game first and give it another go, or alternatively someone maybe able to upload another .dll file.

We may well have a new SCI soon with an updated exe for some of the more common bugs showing up on the boards. We have tried to cater to old and new players alike and personally I'm not a fan of the new inventory system, but at least having the choice keeps everyone happy most of the time.

No fixed ETA, but hopefully soon, dependent on code and our SCI technician, though better we hold off and try and fix everything that's been flagged so far. : aww

btw what are the shortcuts for 1.13 Vengeance? I only remember shift+n for headgear and . for scope toggle but they don't even work speechless
Also, I'd like to use Joey's german speech files from the original mod. They were pretty hilarious, especially his maniacal laughter. Is that possible, if so which files do I have to copy?

If you'd like the German files from the original Vengeance you'd need to download that mod, then copy and paste Joey's lines from that.

Joey uses profile 071 in Vengeance Reloaded, I don't think that's changed from the original so you'd need to copy all 071_XXX speech files and overwrite them with the old ones.

Not entirely, Anv's full time work in the games industry takes up most of his time but he's been kind enough to fix up some old stuff that was broken or unfinished which we're eternally thankful for.

A changelog would be good, but we haven't done one for years. I might piece together a few notes or what I can remembers been fixed or added.

I have tested the second Beta.
All my reported bugs are desappeared:

1. Miguel is in his prison.
2. I am able to sign mercs after the beginning of the game.
3. Cobra's picture is Cobra with camouflage.

Good to hear, Fan. Keep up the good work.

I am playing a full campaign now myself from start to finish and keeping an eye out for bugs as I play, you get a totally different experience from playing than just testing. We've had one report that they were unable to sign mercs at the beginning of the game, but yet to confirm since that issue should have been fixed in an older commit.

The verdict's out at the moment regarding the food and water system but we're looking into it. Traders do sell food and water and a lot of maps have food in their inventories but being able to replenish canteens is not confirmed yet.

Grab these latest (30th June 2017) merges, items, magazines and explosives and overwrite the existing ones in your \Data-AIMv53\TableData\Items folder. This has not been tested so I suggest keeping your old one safe just in case.

Hi Hawkeye! Could I copy these in mid-game or will they break my saves?

EDIT: NVM! Saw the answer: should be compatible but its untested so make a backup of your original.
I just put the whole installation directory in a .7z folder. I'll let you know how it goes!

Most mods tend to remain Beta to the end of days, so you might as well give the Beta a go. Most of our .exe updates seem compatible with old saves to some degree, but it's not guaranteed. The more people playing and reporting bugs will only improve the latest version.

The code is not changed, for ini settings you can take a look at [Tactical Cover System Settings] section in Data-Vengeance\Ja2_options.ini

Hello Hawk, lovely mod, i am using the second beta version.

Would it be possible to tell me how to add the Ctrl+Gabbi cheats in my game ? Can i copy/paste them from the 1.13 files ? Assuming that they are in here somewhere. Or what must i do to add them ? Insructions would be helpful. I have no idea about codding/modding so please give me a helping hand here.
I've read somewhere that you removed cheats so people would play the mod. I appreciate your work but i like to tailor my game the way i like to play it. Shouldn't the choice of using cheats sometimes - for whatever reasons - be left up to every individual player ? They are part and parcel in 1.13 and the vanilla game. They are a powerful tool for experimentation or just to create a fun situation. If you don't want to give me the instructions in public, please send me a private message.

Fixes and updates include:

Missing sci-fi creatures should now appear underground

Correct loading screens should appear in native resolutions and there are more of them. Loadscreens also have stretch modes setting (stretch to fit, fit to width, fit to height)so now 4:3 images no need to stretched when play

Brenda/Hans interactions removed, there is no need repeat vacating Brenda to see Tony like in Vanilla

****Known issues****

*Crashes when assigning tasks from vehicle
A few reports have highlighted crashes when traveling via vehicles and then assigning mercs to tasks or using sector facilities. It is suggested to have all mercs exit vehicles before assigning them to other tasks. Do not assign tasks while they are still in the vehicle. This is not a definite fix but seems to limit the chances of crashes.

*Old Bloodcat ambush bug still present
Being ambused by Bloodcats can sometimes lock up game. Progress has been made with Flugente find some stray code. Seven FM is looking to integrate this fix to see if it puts this bug to rest for Vengeance: Reloaded.

*Some snitches still refer to Vanilla NPC's when reporting.

*It has been noted recently that there can be issues relating to newly recruited mercs arriving by parachute later on in the game, sometimes the plane flying overhead sound can be heard but no parachute animation plays and the game goes into a strange loop or you cannot assign your new recruit. It is suggested you try and save your game before this happens, as usually you will need to come out of this looping game and reload. Usually the issue disappears once reloading or you can move mercs to an adjoining map to have them appear in game.

Hello! Thank you for these fixes! But can I continue my sci-fi campaign in progress (creatures did not show up yet) or have to begin anew? And was "Ja2_Options.INI" changed or can I use the old one which I already tweaked? I have to update from this version: Vengeance_Reloaded_Second_Beta_26.04.2017
May be it's possible to cancel creatures quest by deleting some files?
