XML Editor in a separate folder, then manually copy changed xml files into your VR installation.

There is no such list, but you can see all merges and combo merges in XML Editor.

I'm not certain it's CTH related, but it is it possible to edit a .ini file to change the aiming cursor to the style where the tighter the white circle gets = higher the hit chance?

Can someone explain what means "no support for NCTH"? Does that mean ignoring all settings under "Stance Modifiers" section in pic bellow:

Another question I care even more about. May I not also set aim levels for every weapon? Or is setting the number of aim levels part of NCTH too?

Yes and all other NCTH related tags.

In OCTH, aim levels number is calculated from weapon type, used scope and shooter's skills. You cannot control it directly using tags.

Does the destruction of buildings affect the mining income or use of certain functions? I'm just wondering if accidentally blowing up a hole in the wall of one of the buildings at the Dam facility will affect my mining income. I assume that is true of the oil rigs when they are detonated?

Unlikely Cerhio, unless either miners or civilians are injured or killed in that sector, even more so if a head miner is killed which is possible on some of the oil rig maps. The Dam is unrelated to the mines, but again could affect town loyalty if a civ gets caught in the explosion.

Hi Guys,

i Played 1.13 bevore but now i can not istall VR working. i tryd a lot but cant find the prblem. maybe you can Help.

at first i intalled a whole new Game from Steam (JA2 Gold)(Maybe it is importat that im German?)
then i downloaded the "Vengeance_Reloaded_Second_Beta_26.04.2017_v7609_English_Full" and unzipped it to the Folder.

if i start the Game by the "ini Editor" nothing happens. only a kind of new task in the bar for a few seconds but it closes by it self. nothing else happens. No error, no dialog.

i have no idea

(PS the intro is false, i also tryed after removig the intro file)

i run a 64Bit win 10
if i try windowed mode i get an 16 an 32 Bit error, but in full screen nothing happens

There is no intro in Vengeance, so something is not right. Ensure you are playing with the Vengeance's own exe.

I'm not sure if a German install would affect things either even though Vengeance: Reloaded started as an English translation of the original (German) Vengeance mod. Someone else should be able to clarify this.

Hey,
is the fortification feature ingame?
I tried to use the shovel in building mode to get some sandbags but sometimes, in the bottem left corner, the game says that XY had to stop removing a fortification.

Sandbags do work, just not the advanced fortifications (using junk and rubble) I had that same warning come up too, and posted it on Flugentes fortifications thread here but didn't get a response.

It's more of an annoyance than game breaker, I just found I had to click again or reposition my merc or that warning text appears but he still builds anyway.

Hey Cerhio, whereabouts in G1 did you find that?

NADA items in Vengeance tend to be leftovers from the original mod where the item has changed ID's or is no longer in use.

This is what I noticed compared to old 1.13 when I played lately.
'Del' hotkey seems doesn't work anymore - it isn't showing up enemy's line sight. Is this changed in VR or in new version of 1.13 ?
How can I change this (maybe mod_settings.ini - which line) ?

You need to reinstall VR on a clean Ja2, as vanilla ja2.exe seems to break 1.13 installation somehow.
It is recommended to delete original ja2.exe after you install 1.13 or VR.

Ok done (reinstalled).
When I click 'Del' button I got this message in game log:
SHOWING DANGER ZONES FOR MERCENARY
DISABLING COVER DISPLAY


... and I can't even see this zone :/
Holding longer 'Del' button doesn't help. I don't know what's going on at this point.

That means your installation is broken somehow, because this file exists in VR SCI on my google drive and contains all needed overlay sprites.

OMG - it turned out that it is not working when your merc don't see an enemy.
I saw enemy because militia see them. I spotted enemy with my merc and it's working now.

Didn't the game end and play the winning quotes afterward? It's been a long time since the final maps and pathways were discussed and completed. I've had to go through a number of old discussion threads to clarify if travel to the last locations were two-way. Originally they were only one-way at least once you are off the island. You could try and back-track your steps with the teleports you used.

Indeed they did, but at that point I realized I wanted to explore the map a bit further and complete a few more quests. So I resumed back a few minutes in time, in order to save officially winning for later happy

A problem I have:

Two of my mercs got food poisoning at some point, and it got way out of hand. Now their health bars are nearly completely green at all times, and their condition will worsen (terminally) if left untreated. I've managed to keep them stable by employing a small team of doctors who tend to these two patients 24/7 in-between sorties. The doctor activity eats up medkits at a fairly rapid clip, and sometimes I'll have one of them inexplicably use up some silly amount like 10 medkits in a few hours or so.

A weird phenomenon that happens is that one of the mercs will occasionally go into a coma, drop down to around -100 health, and have a really weird health bar for a while - although this state eventually resets.

With other mercs who got slight cases of food poisoning, they were able to go into full remission using an antidote or having a doctor look at them for a day or two.

Should I just accept the situation, or is there a way to cure severe cases of food poisoning like this? My theory is that if I'm really patient and have them sit in base for a looong time, they will eventually be fully healed. The reason being that the condition does seem to get slightly better over time if treatment goes on without interruption - although it's a very slow process. So far, I haven't had the patience to try that.

Hi All

Ok so this will be a total sucker question which I'm surprised to seem to be the first one to ask (on this forum?), buthow can I get to the Island? This is the first topic I've found that names it (Palaccio Island?).

I've been looking for way too long but can't seem to find the trick. Did I miss some important NPC? I found a clicky thingie but it just makes my IMP curse... I should add that I've been having some problems that force me to play the game windowed, making it impossible to fast travel south from within sectors.

Thanks a ton as I've been trying to finish this mod for what seems like forever since I hit this wall...

There was for quite some time a meandering path to the island in Malino bay (sometimes referred as Malino island or Palaccio, but that's just reference to the Palace there.)

No good for me. I can get the quest ok - BUT once I bring Maria to Angel and get his dialogue, he gives me the deed and leather jacket and his dialogue screen pops up again - it doesn't matter how I talk to him,direct, friendly, threaten - or even just close the dialogue, the game just hangs (infinite clock).

So I've not bothered with the quest. I assume the deed has no use because the guy from vanilla in the tattoo parlour isn't there. And from what people say, Maria's stats are useless anyway. Perhaps more to the point, if I recruited her, I'd need to keep her clear of San Mona or I'd upset Kingpin? At the moment, I'm relying on the $10k from the Kingpin fights every couple of days, so I don't want to do that....

There shouldn't even be a deed in newer versions of VR, unless I remember wrong, so maybe try reinstalling it with some newer version, if it is save game compatible, Seven or Hawkeye should know better. I did have occasional problem with that quest, such as game hanging/crashing at that moment, but saving before talking to Angel helped, it always worked by second try at worst cheeky If you do get Maria, she shouldn't be seen by Kingpin guys, but other mercs don't have that problem, so you can keep doing fights, visiting Tony or doing anything in San Mona, just keep Maria out of those Kingpin controlled sectors.

Some of the PCM behaviour or any Vanilla's characters who have interactions changed can at times be a bit flaky. It can sometimes be even due to where your merc stands when talking to NPC's. Here's the notes from Schein that came with the install;

Maria, automatically joins the squad after having met Angel.
Like Skryider, there's some time between the end of the quest and her joining the squad.
After having talked to Angel, Maria will leave the leather shop and, once standing on the road, join the player's squad.
In that time between the end of the quest (history log beeps) and her joining, the player can go to the strategic screen if he doesn't want Maria to join the squad.

I don't know if this is the problem or not - but if Maria and Angel cannot walk out to the street (for example, a character is blocking the door) then you will get the endless clock.

@ edmortimer - I don't think that is it. I got the endless clock previously with Kingpin not being able to leave the bar after the fights 'cos one of his henchmen had blocked the door. So I know to avoid that now.

@ LatZee - I don't know if there is a deed - or even a leather jacket - I am just going by Angel's speech. I can't get beyond that to see what he gives me.

And I only installed last week so assume I have the latest version?

It's been a while since I recruited her, but I had no problems, but it was a while ago so don't recall how I did it now. As far as I can recall there's no deed needed now and as mentioned earlier Kyle has left Arulco. Schein can probably clarify, he's been around the past week or so.

In my current test everything works fine like PCM_Readme.TXT file in \Data-PCM folder says:

Maria, automatically joins the squad after having met Angel.
Like Skryider, there's some time between the end of the quest and her joining the squad.
After having talked to Angel, Maria will leave the leather shop and, once standing on the road, join the player's squad.
In that time between the end of the quest (history log beeps) and her joining, the player can go to the strategic screen if he doesn't want Maria to join the squad.

Best save your game before you move Maria and your mercenaries to Angel's leather shop to finish the quest.
