Hi
I'm one of the creators of the Give Everybody Guns (GEG https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=963744567) mod which is the successor of Mercapocalypse and Silver Girl Armory. We continue to support the game and mod it.
7,62 Hard Life (HLA : https://store.steampowered.com/app/306290/762_Hard_Life/), sadly, is only available legally through Steam but if you've already 7,62 High Calibre (7,62 HC : https://store.steampowered.com/app/289890/762_High_Calibre/), it's free. The modding history of 7,62 is a little complicated but basically HLA is a mod of 7,62 HC and improve a lot of things : stability, new features, a lot of new quests, etc.
If you want to play the game with our mod, I recommend the following sub mods :
- Actor Detail : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=653960184
- High Res Models : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=653963565
- HUD fix : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=830026780
- High Definition Textures : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1341175808. Only if you have a powerful computer !
- Reduced Damage : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1371996977. GEG comes with default HLA damages, we find them too high.

Ok, thanks. I forgot to mention that 7,62 HC/HLA is regularly sold for less than $2.
