I can't get it working. Settings in ini editor are True. I read the thread by author sevenfm and followed instructions (Didn't ask there, while scrolling, come across he doesn't do his mod anymore).
Made those nasLocalClass and nasAttachmentClass Entries, as well as the buudyitem ones - just as in the examples. The one thing I couldn't find is how to make ubVolatility>0. In explosives.xml i found volatility, but not in items.xml. And in explosives, i don't know which grenade is which entry. Using version8665/2472 I'm still not able to attach rubber band to grenades or duct tape to c1. Is this maybe only for 7609+AI alone? But there are ini-Editor entries, hm. Or do I have to choose Old Inventory? Or did I mess up something else big?
Has anybody been able to activate this and is kind enough to share how? Thx.

I need more details.

@Kitty
Explosive attachments in the trunk works different from 7609+AI.
For the main trunk, there should be a description in Code Snippets thread on how it works.
For the 7609+AI, you can take a look at SDO mod in 7609 modpack as it was modified to fully support attached explosives feature.

First, I'm glad you're still arround. Reading the AI-Thread i understood you left, sorry. (another reason to start improving my english skills, sigh)

Found the following in Code Snippet Thread:

Some experimental adjustments to explosive things.
1) Every normal explosion (only outdoor, not underground) causes small smoke - cosmetic feature.
2) You can attach some explosives to your grenade or mine:
- Attach rubber band or duct tape.
- Attach as many explosives or grenades (usItemClass= 256 or 512) as you wish. Attached explosives should have ubVolatility>0. No nested recursive attachments, only first level of attachments is processed.
- Throw to the enemy as usual grenade or plant as usual mine or TNT.
- PROFIT.
3) You can attach some special items to your explosives to add some special effects:
<Alcohol> - molotov's explosion
<GasCan> - bigger molotov's explosion
<Marbles> - some frags

1. That's in ini-editor and works like charm
2. and 3. That's what isn't working on my side. At first glance, I'd say I should be able to get it working under 7609+AI (comparing and trial and error should do it).
It's basicly what I allready read and did, but misssing line (Hidden Addon) and difference in item size. At least, that's what I understood.

2. and 3. for 1.13, I'm not sure if I understand. Found the following in Code Snippet Thread:

You certainly don't throw a pack of explosives anymore, especially if a gas can is attached to it. The pack will be much too heavy and bulky to throw. It would be best to prevent such a pack from being thrown. Planting would be ok as some kind of death trap.

1. Adding attachments is fully configured by attachments.xml, by default 1.13 does not allow any attachments to grenades or explosives at all (except for detonators or tripwire).

2. Added weight should greatly reduce throwing range, but has some bug in it.

3. I think maybe it will be good to just increase ratio that reduces throwing range so you simply would not be able to throw heavy grenade farther than several tiles.

4. I do not check actual item id but check if it has tag <gascan>, so it's xml work to allow or deny attachments of bulky gas tanks.

The idea of this feature is to allow player to throw packs of grenades as it sometimes happens in real wars and make some powerful bombs from available items, especially at the beginning of game when you do not have much firepower but still have to deal with devastating drassen counterattack.

1. and 4. say that I need to add ability for attachment in attachment.xml. I didn't find anything else that is handled different. What's puzzling me, is the Attachment Index. Don't know the logic begind it and to what it may refere to. Or doesn't it matter and I can give them any free number? And if i change attachment.xml, does it mean I also have to change atttachmentinfo.xml or any other that it might need? I was searching attachment.xml for explosives. TNT and C1 seem to have more then one attachment index nr and i couldn't find detonator at all. So, don't know what to do.

And off-topic: Thanks for Ambient Sound Feature, that's one of the coolest things added ever! Does a lot for atmosphere and feeling. Sad, that it didn't make it into 1.13, having real fun with it in AI version.
