Even though ive cranked <DayVisionRangeBonus> to really high value, i can't see past 55 tiles, essentialy making these uber .50bmg rifles as effective as normal 7.62x51 with its 70 tiles range vs 120. Any way to see further?

OK, so I tried it out, clean last SCI install, just edited 10x scope day vision bonus to 250%, bought Reaper with his sniper rifle for one day, sat down in Omerta and I'm getting 81 tiles vision:

Try with someone else, who dont have sniper perk, and with using 7609 ver with sevenfm ai exe.

I can confirm that viewing range works with newest SCI, however it does not work with 7609 with sevenfm ai. The problem is because of sevenfm ai, i dont know if he did it intentionally or not.

Rather sure its determined by value for [base_sight_range =] in ja2Options.ini.

If we define BSR as the max range at which a standard human can effectively aim at distant targets,
the value should be about half of a sectors diameter,
but it appears that then a ton of other values must be adjusted accordingly,
e.g. so that even little cover, prone stance or some camo make it hard to spot a stationary target at all.

Yes, the only way to increase max sight range in 7609+AI is to increase base sight range.
