Hey guys,im new here and want to try the JA2 again with the 1.13 patch. Many years ago i played the vanilla version of JA2 and now want to see the new improvements of the latest 1.13 (build 8766).

So here is the problem and what i did: I installed 1st the GOG version of JA2 (1.12), tested it (notebook Lenovo, intel, win 10) and it worked good. So then i downloaded the latest 1.13 build, unpacked with 7zip and then copypaste into JA2 directory as instructed. And confirmed replacement of 21 files. Done.
Fallowing the instruction guide i started .ini 1st to set intro to false. And thats it, then i hit the start, game was running, 1.13 version latest patch, however when clicking on the "Start new game" and getting the "initial settings screen" , half of the options was missing. Specifically, these options are missing completely (saw them on youtube video when watching the instruction for installation): Max IMP characters; New chance to hit system; Enemies drop all items; Food system; Improved interrupt system; Mercs story backgrounds; Inventory manipulation costs AP. All these options are missing and i have no way to access them.

So was wondering if someone could help me to fix the initial setting options to be all visible when starting new game. I wanted to create 2 IMP starting characters, but without the starting options i can create only 1 now.

BTW I already played it to see if 1.13 works properly, had to add those 3 dll files (ddraw, libwine, wined3d) to make it run smoothly, looking good so far, just need those options to appear to setup the game properly.

I see, thank u Sir. Looks like i saw some slightly older build on the video, thats why i was so confused about it.

Just 1 more thing, has the "Max number of IMPs" been deleted completely from the game now (as of r8622)? I mean, we cant change this parameter at all cos its not there in the newest build (r8766)?

There is no max number anymore. The number of IMPs is only limited by the amount of available slots in MercProfiles.xml and your bank account.

As of r8622, IMP slots are now purely defined by <Type>6</Type> in MercProfiles.xml. Removed MAX_IMP_CHARACTERS and IMP_XXX settings. That's right, we no longer have any IMP slot settings in MercProfiles.xml, all you need is to set which slot in principle can be an IMP slot and you can use it. I've taken the liberty of setting that on any other free slot in the trunk, which gives us ~29 possible IMP slots.
