Hi there,

I like the progression and the development of my mercs. But low level wisdom mercs gain stats way slower. Also a merc with low marksmanship will have most likely low wisdom aswell. Some "Doctors" are the exception.

So my question is, why do we have an wisdom stat that hinders merc progression for low level mercs? I understand that mercs stay in their "roles" as being "dump" or "cheap" with low wisdom.

I'm currently about to start a new playtrough and I was thinking about making every wisdom stat equal <bWisdom>95</bWisdom>. Did somebody do this already?

Isn't it more fun to level your favorite (low stats) mercs into the late game as to alyways hire the same lategame mercs?

cheers

I mean this is entirely up to you. The core reason of the WIS is three fold:
1. It dictates development, which you point out. Smarter mercs are smarter, so they learn new things easier. Not so smart, not so fast.
2. It ' sells ' a character. Of course you would expect someone with high numbers in the ' skill ' attributes [MECH EXP MED MARKS] to be more intelligent than someone with overall low scores, or even 0's in some of those fields, as those skills require training to obtain. And in order to learn, you have to be smart. So smarter = more skilled = more WIS
3. Wisdom is for tradition. Its been in every other JA game that was made before 1.13. It also makes sense as a statistic. If you want everyone to learn everything at the same rate like a JRPG then that's you, and you do you.
