I've been wondering for decades (literally): What is so special about leather jackets to justify the specific "Leather Jacket" tag?

I guess the "Flack Jacket" tag signifies that the armor also protects against explosions (the EOD suit has it too), but I can't imagine what's special about a leather jacket.

If I remember correctly, this tag is used exclusivly for Nails Leather Jacket. Kinda like: if vest is having this tag and merc is nails, then don't allow any other vest and if trying to remove start Nails responding to attempt

In consequence, you can replace his leather jacket in starting gear with any other vest. As long as you asign the tag to the vest, he then would complain about trying to change this vest. For any other merc, this should have no effect.

I faintly remember to have read something like that, but don't recall in which thread anymore. And since it's a faint memory, there might be more to this I don't recall.

How to get: latest 1.13, 7609 and more | 7609 SCI (eng) | Compiling+SVN

I need more details. (Didi Hallervorden)

Hm, I'm disappointed, I was hoping for some big revelation I had always missed... speechless

Thanks anyway!

Yes, I know, that's what brought it back in mind. I'm considering the requirements of a "covert action" playthrough with only two "Spy" mercs (and the locals). See my comment on the "Covert Operations" thread.
A golf-playing biker is a rare sight and might indeed look suspicious to the authorities; I'm considering making another kind of civilian vest for my spies to wear.
