All,

Years ago I found the original Jagged Alliance - it was one of the best squad-based 3rd person shooter simulations going.

I played Vanilla 1.12 (Gold) and now am playing 1.13.
I got the old Vengeance mod (German), but is there a general order?

I read through descriptions, and killed Deidranna in the first go-rounds.
Vengeance seems like Afghanistan except in Arulco. We pulled out and the place went to hell and we might have to go back - kind of mod.
Arulco Vacations seems (by Ed Mortimer's description) a 1.12 / 1.13 cross-breed (fair?).
But ...
"Deidranna Lives" is her coming back to life, but isn't that "Vengeance", and "Vengeance - Reloaded"?
"Arulco Revisited" seems like an after-DL mod, but is it?
"Urban Chaos" - is that an after-DL mod as well?

If one were into "Mod-madness", playing these "in order" so to speak, what is that order?
Is there a "Canon of Mod Chronology" lying somewhere in the dusty file cabinets of A.I.M.?

There isn't really a strict time-line if you are referring to how different mods act historically in the world of JA and in particular Arulco. Most were made by different moddin teams and developers who may have had different ideas where their mod sits.

Most mods don't even have a real difference of setting both geographically or historically, so you could suggest they are different interpretations of the same story, mods like Arulco Vacations and Arulco Revisited, perhaps the main difference in time is they were developed later than the original JA2's timeline of around 1999 and may feature more modern items, weapons and technology.

Both Deidranna Lives! and Vengeance (and Vengeance:Reloaded) are unofficial sequels set after the events of the origingal JA2. Urban Chaos is set it a totally different country, and possibly time so it's hard to decipher where it should sit.
