If someone knows more about the best mods for JABIA I am dying to fix this game.
if you are looking for bugfixes and improved gameplay then the Realistic Rebalancing mod is the best choice. No other mod comes close to the amount of fixes. I have worked 530 hours on this mod.
The latest version fixes more sound bugs and adds more weapons and ammo types. In total this mod adds 47 new weapons and 3 new ammo types to the campaign.

I wonder if anyone has tried to make this compatible with older mods like "M.E.R.C. Is Back." I am thinking about it (but it's been years since I attempted to mod this game), looking through main_characters.txt to see what sort of changes were made by "Rebalanced..."
[Edit] Just merged them and tested. Turns out it wasn't as hard as I thought it might be, since the only conflicting changes are in main_character.txt.

I may be saying this in a big empty room, but here goes. I've be playing this for almost a week now. I was pulling my hair out for a while figuring out how things in JA2 are implemented in this one. Got a handle on that. And now I'm encountering a repeating bug that I can not tells is from BIA straight from Steam or from the realistic realistic rebalancing mod. I like to know how to report this bug to the modder, should he still be supporting this. I know the BIA devs have abandoned it.
Here's the bug. To create a milita person you give a weapon to a person with a purple fist over them. The bug is that when I do this, the character tried reloading the weapon twice (as if something is wrong) and then walks away without the purple fist going away. The worldview shows the person has not become militia. When my soldier contacts the person again the militia men update screen opens again and shows he has the weapon, but when I remove the weapon from him to try again, the program crashed to the desk top. The first time this happened I reloaded a prior save (losing some game time) and the problem when away. But now I have had an another occurrence and the prior save does not fix it. I don't know if I should just ignore this and go forward, or if it will just keep on getting worse until the game stops working.
So if anyone is looking at this, please let me know who to report this to and how (if you know).

Having taken about half of Arulco, I can now tell you that this bug only occurs in the Roadblock near Drassen. Its not a game stopper. I thank Killatomate again for making this wonderful mod that makes this game wonderful. I'm really enjoying it now that I've gotten used to it.
