So, what equipment would you like to see in the game?
I'm thinking it would be nice to have some more old rifles, like the Garand or Kar-98 and such. Hunting rifles too, as that's what people keep around their homes.
And I'd also like to see an equipment selection screen at the start, to make it possible to get some top-notch equipment to start with. After all, I'd rather hire Magic and Shadow and give them high-end rifles and armor, than get 6 low-end mercs with the default equipment. Or even get the low-end mercs and give them rifles instead of revolvers.

Maybe the mercs wouldn't want to use the old guns, but there's loads of them in people's homes, and poor countries militias/armies.
As for the stopping power, big bullets stop enemies much more easily than small ones. But they have more difficulty penetrating body armor, so that's a trade-off. That's why big caliber handguns are popular for home defense, you're not likely to encounter armored opposition. Unlike the military, which expects the enemy to be equipped as they are, which means at least some body armor...
Concerning one-shot-kills, it depends on the hit location, and the enemy's determination. Even the most determined enemy won't be able to go forward if a bullet severs his spine, and a flesh wound on the arm will put a reluctant enemy out of action.

Hey I'm new here and and english is not my native language so excuse any spelling errors.
But what I would love to see in a new Jagged Alliance game is homemade explosives and such. Example combine a bottle with any flameable liquid to create a molotov like explosive. In about the same way as a rod and spring made a gun accelerator. Now thats what I would like to see. I don't know any new guns the old one where fine by me. So as long as there are plenty of them the type of snipers pistols sub and machineguns don't really matter to me...

Airstrikes could probably be added simply with a enemy talking on the radio to a comand center. Then you would hear the sounds of planes overhead during that pause while the computer thinks up it strategy. Then you could be hit with Gas, Neapalm, or an expolsion of course. The explosion
part of what you guys are talking about are being done as ground explosions in some mod work I've seen triggered by an enemy tripping a switch that triggers an alarm. So I believe it is very do-able
