Hi Im still in my first game.It's day 35 and AIM tell's me In a E-Mail that Danny died and Shadow died.Is there a way to stop others that are not hired by me from dieing.Thanks

Hi! I believe that the little trick from the original JA2 works in UC too. You'll have to check the AIM site daily, and when you see a merc is on assignment leave him a recorded message, then don't answer to his e/mail when he returns from assingment. Anyway, I suppose that only 2 of them will be killed in action while in Tracona. Gotta try this myself to see if it's working in UV the same way it used to work in the original JA2.

As I have noticed, notifications of merc death are sent only at midnight. And they are random. So just save the game before midnight and see if you get the message from AIM. If yes, reload and try again.

I'm on day 39 or so in UC, and three AIM mercs have been killed on other assignments. Grizzly, Buzz, and Reaper... argh!

Then check the AIM site from now on and when you see that a merc in on assingment, leave him/her a recorded message. And when you start a new game, do this to all the mercs you'll want to have in your team when you see they where hired in Tracona.
Maybe somebody else was just playing UB in the Iron Man mode when this happened. Very Happy

I don't think there will be more then 3 random deaths in the AIM ranks tough.

I have a bad news for you: it seems that the trick is not working in UC. I leaved a recorded message to Raven, and the next morning I had an e-mail for AIM telling me that she died in action in Tracona. Or maybe the dice roll was already done when I leaved the recorded message so it could nor change anything. I forgot for a day to check the AIM site to see who was on assign. I will test it a little bit more.

But is the Merc actually dead? I say this because I received a message from AIM saying Ivan was KIA (sniff). I thought about reloading because I wanted the "I" team but I couldn't be stuffed so I carried on. Amazingly, a few days later I got another message from AIM saying that, Ivan was KIA (again!). I thought, curious bug and ignored it, but when I went to hire a new Merc from AIM, there was Ivan, alive and available! :whoknows:

Naturally I hired him straight away.

I've had that happen with Ivan as well. It happened occasionally to me in JA2 as well, but I can't remember which mercs.
