It would be cool to have a SINGLE download with ALL the maps set up as "alternates", so that each replay has a chance of loading a sector randomly.

Here's some composite sector maps for OLDNOOB's insane maps, Vanilla JA2 and WildFire. (Click for larger versions.)

[edit]
Just realized that photobucket automatically shrank the images to a 1024xNNN pixels. The originals are much larger.

Hello Shark,

SharkD
I created a wiki page to document this project. Hope you find it useful.

Yes, thank you for your good work there! :ok:

SharkD
You might want to update the first post with this link.

Indeed, good idea! Maybe a moderator (lockie, Dieter

Yo Schein, added something to the first post, did I do this right? If not, let me know how you want it and I will take care of it.

Hi Dieter,

Many thanks for your quick reply! Smile Okay, here is my suggestion for John Wright's release post with the following related links. I hope you like it!

Should probably change "SharkD - Map Database Project" to "Wiki - Map Database Project". The wiki is there for everybody to edit!

Still would like to see SVN space reserved for these maps. Some of them still crash the game.

Is anyone interested in mapping Metavira these days?
No, I'm not working on it. Back in the days of the dropped "finishing touches" had a custom tileset made for this...most important thing being a water sti for that jewellery work on shores.
Stumbled upon that work and played a bit with a landing zone map (60)this is how it looked like:
http://img.xrmb2.net/600416.jpg
http://img.xrmb2.net/754901.jpg
Didn't pay much attention to details or distances between buildings, drawn from memory...just wanted to see it's doable.
Who's interested in making those 60 maps, now that 1.13 seems to have all externalisations necessary for the game world to function? Dunno about you, but many modmakers have dreamed about this...

You can try the Wildfire 6 maps MOD. It is default 1.13 with Wildfire 6 maps.
You can download the mod from SVN:

1. Install TortoiseSVN
2. Make a folder somewhere
3. Right click folder and select "SVN Checkout"
4. Paste link in "URL of Repository" textbox
