Hi there!
I'm a longtime player of JA2. I've recently changed computer and now cannot play JA2 anymore. On my old laptop everything worked fine. Gold, UC, DL and v1.13.
My problem is weird. I can't go West on the strategic map. No problems on the tactical map but playing just on that isn't really an option. Besides I guess I wouldn't be able to use vehicles.
If I start in Omerta and try to go West on the strategical map I can only go as far as to the map before San Mona. I can go North or South but not NW or SW. If I move towards Drassen the problem moves with me. Close to Drassen I can't go back to Omerta. On the tactical map I can go West - even into San Mona - but the problem on the strategical map remains. If I am in San Mona I can only go eastwards.
My computer has Vista. It's got Intel Core 2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40 GHz (whatever that means)and NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT.
I've reinstalled Gold from the CD - no change.
Hope someone recognizes my problem.

apparently this was addressed elsewhere or just simply ignored.
I've been playing JA2 gold pack repeatedly for years now. There have been bugs but this one is new to me and just happened. I can't travel west on the tactical screen. I just loaded JA2 gold onto a new hard drive with windows 7. I'm playing expert mode sci-fi.
I guessing this is a very rare bug. Can anyone help?
