getting 1.13 not RR[message #166923]

Instilled JA2. Installed 1.13 from SVN . Downloaded RR and extracted it into the JA2 folder. This gave me an extra folder so that the data- renegade folder was nested one level below the data -1.13 folder. The game would not run. I manually moved the RR stuff up one level & it ran but it run normal 1.13.

what does your ja2.ini say "custom_data_folder_location = ???" it should point to data-renegade there

also, be sure to use the ja2 RR beta17 exe that came with the download/ patches, not ja2.exe

The .ini initially pointed to Data-Renegade but I changed to lower case to match the file. I'm using beta17 . At what screen should I see a difference? I've gone as far as the heli ride to A9 and it looks just like Arulco.

The very beginning will have a big red scorpion. If you don't see this you still have a problem.

Your data, data1.13 and dararenegade folders should all be located in the main directory (the one with your .exes. If this is not the case make sure you correct this (cut/paste).
