It is based on story of JA2 with classic scenes regarding "Eliot you idiot". IMO the game system, especially the combat system, is better balanced than combat system of original JA2 or Urban Chaos etc. For example if you want to heal your soldier you need someone with perk doctor - the rest is unable to heal. Armour do not play major role in Night Ops and also hit to the head overall means death (but it is much more complicated to shot enemy soldier to the head), if a condition of gun is lower than 90% it tends to get jammed regulary, especially those "complex guns" such as M4A1, AK74 endures a bit rougher treatment. There are also "shock" grenates which blind any enemy for 2 turns - so it is very usefull. All in all it is overall a bit more "realistic".

If I remember well you have to come back from the lab (probably sector M14 but I'm not sure - history log should be updated after conquering) to Cambria hospital, talk to one of the doctors (I'm not sure whitch one Wink) and he'll give you antidote.

LOL...That's one way to solve the quest, another way is to find the vaccine and give it to the person who asks you to search for a possible cure.

Mate, until I find a way to edit he buttons to add a "spoiler" button (already present in newer versions of ubb) here's how you can do it:

Your text here appears in color:#CDC7AF, same as bg.

So, it happened to my squad that they caught the virus: -1 health per hour (I think). I read here that I need to go to M14 which I did. However, I took the chopper which dropped me off directly in that sector which immediately triggered the alarm(s). It was a tough battle, with a lot of quickloads I managed to defeat everybody - but no vaccine to be found. I fear that the vaccine is in the central chamber and gets destroyed when somebody hits the button in the same room. Which in my case might have been as soon as I landed. But will I have any chance to get to the vaccine without it being destroyed even if I enter the sector on foot? It'd be impossible to sneak into the building unnoticed. Well, I can try if I have to.

Has anybody been successful in getting the vaccine and if so, any tips for me?

Yeah... got too excited, didn't I? And I travelled all the way back to Cambria...

So I guess I was right - the "Vaccine" got destroyed. I'll go back to the old savegame and will have the chopper drop me off in M13 instead and I'll see what happens. I'm not hopeful, though. As I said, there was some rubble in the central chamber and a red button next to it so I guess pressing the button destroys the vaccine. If that happens as soon as my team gets spotted I won't stand a chance. It's tough enough as it is even without worrying about that.

Wow, that was one heck of a battle. Entered the sector on foot, no alarm set off this time. Until there are about 3 enemies left - suddenly the alarm goes off and the vaccine gets destroyed. I have guys at the windows looking inside, but one bloody soldier is in the room. Back to the quicksave - sneaking in doesn't work, can't blow a hole into the wall. Final straw: Shooting a RPG through a window and a door into a room. It didn't work, but it did make the solider move into my men's sights. Phew!

To summarize: Once mustard gas and an explosion is set off, the "vaccine" (regen boosters) gets destroyed. Don't use the feature that you can get dropped off from the helicopter in enemy sectors - that immediately set off the alarm for me. Enter on foot instead. The vaccine and button are in the central room of the complex and can only be entered from the SE from another room. That room has 4 windows - try to get to those to prevent the opponent from reaching the button.
