Hi. Awesome that people still play this. (Thank Steam for something?)
I've played this game through so many times, but not in the past 5 years. So I started it back up (version 1.06) and began playing. But, for the life of me, I cannot find the wire cutters in Omerta (or anywhere else for that matter). I *think* I've searched every place in A9, and I found the crowbar but no wire cutters. I now cannot fight in sector I13 (sw Alma) because I require them.
Any help? Please?

Thanks for the suggestions. I've been checking Bobby Ray's, but I have a sneaky suspicion that he only sells what you've already found.
I'll make use of those TNTs I've got hanging around. Thanks again!
Edit: I couldn't find a working download for 1.13, so I just stuck with my ancient 1.06 patch. Can I still use my old saved games if I do find a valid 1.13 update?

Be warned, 1.13 isn't your grandfather's JA2. If you're not careful, it will chew you up and then spit you out.
A few things to watch out for:
1) when you take all of Drassen, the Queen will launch a major counterattack, you will have 100+ enemies attack at once (usually the mine sector). Check out this thread. This option can be disabled in the options.ini file, but is on by default.
http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/board/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=136761&page=1#Post136761
2) sniper rifles...scopes now significantly increase sight distance when the scoped weapon is raised. Enemies will use spotters as well. When you are seen by a enemy, you will take headshots from other enemies with sniper rifles at 80+ tiles that you can't even see. If you're not careful, games turn into sniper wars.
3) there is a new inventory system (the NIV), which is optional, but I highly recommend using it. It completely changes inventory slots for your mercs. You will now need to equip vests, holsters, backpacks, to outfit your mercs. You still need armor and helmets and stuff.
4) There are hundreds of new weapons and items. Everything is editable or customizable. Check out the xml editor that comes with the game. You can edit weapons, items, merchant inventories, and other stuff.
4) there are tons of new things added to the game, which make it an awesome experience! To name a few: rainstorms and lightning, fully automatic fire (no more forced lame burst fire), fixed stealing items and weapons from enemies, throw grenades while crouched, enemies can climb up and down roofs, you can now create up to 6 IMP's if you want, and much much more!

Haha, this is awesome! Actually I've had to restart 4 times now, and this last time on easy. So much has changed that it's almost like Jagged Alliance 3: Revenge of Dedrianna's Ghost or something. At first I wanted to complain about all that had changed, but it's much more realistic (especially with the number of enemies and the new inventory layout). Love Bobby Ray's new selection (I just bought the stupid wire cutters this time for $20), the eq/inv layout, the bazillion new weapons, etc etc.
Thanks for the advice. While I'm not happy that it's not going to be a cakewalk, I'm glad to know the AI might actually make me think twice before gallivanting towards a decoy.

Heh, if that's the case, I'm in the wrong genre of gaming.

Haha Kaerius, I symphatize.
When I hire AIM-mercs and they gain stats, I can see how they've risen on the AIM-screen.
Silly, but it 'thrills me' when an employed merc moves up some spots.
The laptop-personel-tab shows increased stats but not compared to other mercs.
When I focus on that AIM-ranking, the IMPs/M.E.R.C.s ARE boring since they don't show up on the AIM-screen.
Yet 'the money' has me creating some service-IMPs (mechanics, militia trainers -> cheaplabour)
