I can't find Deidranna! I assume she is supposed to be in her palace in Meduna?? Am I supposed to kill Elliot or does he provide information on the Queen's whereabouts?

Also the Crepitus keep attacking Drassen but when I go down into their lair under the mines there are no creatures there it's all empty.

Finally some questions. Drassen mine ran out after about 30-40 days, does going into the mine and picking up all the silver/gold from mines make this happen sooner?

What does experience levels actually do? I know it make them worth more to hire (except the free ones) and I've heard that the higher level you are the more likely you are to get an interrupt, but does it do anything else?

Thanks all.

Hint: Wouldn't be a real dictator's palace without a secret passage, would it?
If you want more information on that just say the word.

1. Below the palace lies a bunker.

2. Go down mines at night.

3. Mines can and do run out.

4. Ex level is v IMP-ortant.

I'm fairly new to this game as well, but I'll offer what little I know (this is a very "deep" game and some questions can only be answered by more experienced "mercs" or those who can read the source code.

Deidranna question was answered by Cougar and Will Gates

Crepitus question: Will Gates is incorrect (or "misspoke"). Go down to mines during daytime. If bugs are not in first mine sector, proceed to second sector, then return immediately to first sector. Bugs will likely appear. This is an actual "bug" in the program.

Mine question: Only one mine runs out of ore. It is scripted based on game progress I believe. Stealing from mines does not affect this, but can lower loyalty in the town in question.

Experience levels question: Increased experience will increase cost and interrupt chance. It will also increase militia training, doctoring, and repair ratings (where applicable). I think it also has a positive effect on throwing accuracy, stealth movement, and possibly other actions (can't confirm this).

BTW most of these questions (and many others) are answered in other threads on this forum. Why not browse a bit in your spare time? :animread:

Experience level also counts towards spotting landmines. This is especially true in Meduna.
At the Meduna airport, a lvl 6 merc with 100 exp. skill will not spot the landmines along the southern fence. A level 8 merc with 0 exp. skill will. Only disarming the mine requires exp. skill.

// formula: 1 pt for every exp_level
// plus 1 pt for every 40 explosives
// less 1 pt for every 20 wisdom MISSING

That's the basic formula for calculating "detection points". That is compared to the difficulty of the mine/trap. So at most you will get 12 points (level 10 plus 80 or more explosives and 80 or more wisdom).
