Cheers mate, I know. But I guess the extra starting cash is in tune with the rest of the game, which is more difficult so I need better mercs. I managed to splash out anyway and now need a second mine to finance my squad. It's just different to what I'm used to - not that it's a bad thing. I believe the original outset of JA2 (read for example what FelixDrake wrote in the thread "most undervalued merc") gives you little reason to change your squad if you start of with the AIM mercs on the lowest row. As they improve they charge more but remain a better deal than more expensive mercs, giving you little reason to swap them for the other mercs. This setup in WF (including the changes to the salary demands) makes things more interesting.
Anyway, I am totally impressed, all the modifications by this community are great. I wish I knew who to congratulate individually for all the cool changes that keep the game fresh. Having all these options in the ini to adjust the game, the improved graphics, the new weapons, the rain, the CTH indicator, the higher resolutions, all the maps and mods (DL, UC, SOG, Militia Factions, etc, etc) and everything else. JA2 is probably my favorite game ever, I certainly haven't finished any other game so often and I probably haven't spent more hours with any other game (though Football Manager is a real time waster). Long live JA2!

Those are enemy local para military units. When you already have visited Tixa and killed Warden, they should be hostile, as they belong to Warden's faction. The problem with the original militia units in WF was, that they technically belonged to King Pins faction, thus if you killed one of them, San Mona became hostile. This has been changed, therefore these dudes can be treated like regular enemies (even if they don't appear to be hostile on your first encounter, there is no drawback, like morale or loyality drop when killing one of them...).

Hi,
I installed the game clean ja2-1.12 + 2085 + wildfire6.06 english.
The game starts but there are horizontal shaky lines running across the screen.
It is very irritating to the eyes. I have windows Xp.
ja2 + 2085 or any other version does not give that problem. It starts only when I install wildfire.
Can someone help me.

I tried,
Ja2 + 2085 + wildfire6.06, it's a single preferences page.
Ja2 + JA21.13 2858exe SVN@1127+HAM3.3.exe + wildfire6.06, though it's 2 page there's no debug mode.
I unchecked all options, no results. The picture becomes clear for a fraction of second when I click the mouse or if hit the keys.
