I just found out that i can speak with the Mercs (hold right mouse and use the talk symbol on a merc)
and all they do is bitching around and its not like i have mercs which hate each other (like ivan and steroid)
shadow talks something about cold war and imperialism
len complains about mercs who doesnt know how to threat a woman but after stogie killed some enemy he says that "they" are real professionals...
ice complains about south africans (even when there are no other black mercs in my team, or does he refer to shadow?) and he says he would like to drink a beer in a bar and lie in the sun
so is it normal that they have no good words for each other or is this a problem? how can i change this.
is it relatet to the moral (this would be stupid because moral is only up after killing a bunch of enemys and lasts only for a few minutes)

i know its no big thing because i have played always without knowing that they hate each other and there were never problems concerning mercs but i thought they were always somehow "happy" at least not bitching around.
i just want to know how i can change it or if its normal and if it has to do with the moral ect.
the funny thing is that when i had a team with ivan and igor they where also whining about the team (just they 2 were the team) and the same with raven and her husband.
i just wondered.

As far as I can tell, each merc has one or two lines, and that's all they ever use. I just checked with a savegame where all of Meduna (and every other city) was taken and morale was at maximum, and they were saying the same things they said at the beginning of the game.

there are different speeches: there are one-two specific lines that mercs use when they're talked to using the "mouth" cursor. these are often rather negative, they usually also reflect racism, sexism or other traits of the character in question.
then there are other, specific low morale lines that characters say randomly once morale drops.

Yes, I thought that's what we were discussing in this thread. I don't think morale or game progress has any effect on those.

My guess is that the positive and neutral line were forgotten by the game designers. Sure some just reflect their likes/dislikes for example Steroid tells you that he hates Russians, but the second line usually sounds like a low morale line.
Most probably something that was lost in the development of the game for some reason.
