Nutter Excellent all round skills, high marksmanship and a useful backup medic who can become a frontline medic with enough investment.
Buns is often my main medic:-)

Stack the enemy up like chord wood. No conflicts Most start at low levels, but train up well.

You can't have Igor if you have Gasket. At least not if you want them in the same sector. But Igor is a better choice anyway.

FinnKaerarBut Gasket can be invaluable in the beginning when money is tight and you want to fight rather than sit about repairing stuff.
Isn't that where Dimitri comes in handy? Free and all?
One good mechanic?
Two good mechanics?
What's best?

I often take Gasket as repair monkey because I remember playing through the demo about thirty times, and more often than not he and Dr. Q were the only ones who survived because I kept them out of the thickest fighting.

Buns is excellent if you want someone who can just hit things right out of the gate. She is also one of the best mrks. trainers in the game, though her skill is eclipsed by the training skills of mr. sniper rifle.
She is also a passable doctor.
That said... on impossible mode, 10k for 1 merc is a lot.
I like to get Barry up front to get him started on his LONG road to extreme uberness.
Grunty has solid mrks and is, IIRC, slightly cheaper, and has better traits for most situations other than recruiting militia.
Bull is a must to prize fight from day 1.
Since I generally take drassen after chitzena and it's SAM site, I need to drop in steroid for a day with gear.
With all of these considerations, plus a low cost Igor who now has night ops AND stealth (he was fun even when he just had stealth), she has been replaced with other mercs.
If I had more beginning money, I'd definitely hire either her or fox earlier ... but it's one or the other even then, and again, end product, fox is better.
Marksmanship is just not the best skill to have as your big selling point, as it increases easily.
It's a shame, though, I really like her.
