Logisteric your files from russian version! all NPC edts on Russian language!

So, that Angel and someone else have a russian subs - it is not bug! Just change your Ja2 version to english release Smile

ghm... Npcdata.slf - from russian version, MERCEDT.SLF - from german version... how this could be? This files from the same CDs?

the german mercedt was a test yesterday (just to see asap what's on) - i simply forgot it Embarrassed

i have no idea where this russian npcdata is from - it is not in your installer - i just had a new npcdata from the same image and the subs are english again

if you expand off-topic's link to nops to a folder 'nightops10' there is a subfolder 'extras\102rus' - as probably most of us i copied the contents into my nOps-folder and with that a russian npcdata.slf

it can be solved by copying the npcdata.slf from an install in your preferred language

When you are install NO do not mark "Компоненты для АВ 1.02"!
IT IS ONLY FOR RUSSAIN USERS!
And if you mark this, you wil have russian subs for NPCs and missing sounds for some Mercs.

how to fix it:
1) rollback your original NPCdata.slf (fix for russian subs)
2) open noptions.ini in text editor, find

;для озвучки персонажей в версии АВ 1.02
AB102rus=1

and turn it to 0 (fix for missing sounds).

Night Ops seems to have some interesting innovations. Unhappily it does not work for me. I have no problems with Russian or cyrillic characters but instead I get only gibberish like

@ Burzmali: Try it again with the following file: http://rapidshare.com/files/253783711/Data.zip

Just extract this file into your NightOps main folder. It will replace the existing FONTS.SLF in your \Data folder.

1. build one imp - s/he will be saved to /data
2. exit the game - start again and build a new imp (NEVER use a voice twice)
3. repeat that procedure (1+2) till you have 6 imps in you data-folder - 'callsign'.dat
4. start a new game and import your imps by callsign

Hello!

I returned to this mod after a few years using my old save files. I'm having a problem with the interface texts. I'm not sure whether those texts were in english or russian last time I played NO, but now they are unreadable. Kinda like russian with new alphabet (partly cyrillic but not completely) suprised

I wonder is this because I couldn't load the Full Translation v.08 from op due to broken link? Or maybe the FONTS.SLF (quoted below) could be enough to resolve the problem? It's broken link as well.

It's been a long time since any work was posted here.

Inshy who has worked on a number of translations would be the best person to contact, though I don't know if he's present much these days.

If anyone has any more info on any Night Ops updates please post them here and we'll try and update the links and downloads. That also goes for all the other non-English mods out there.
