hi guys,

me and a friend of mine are trying to play some co-op games using JA2 MP 1.0 with the latest svn release of 1.13.

Now, whenever he hosts a game, I can connect to the server without any problems, select my squad and ready up and proceed to picking the starting location of my and my friend's squad. Well, I align my squad members the way I want it, click on READY and then the host tries to start the game. At this point I'm stuck at this screen while he proceeds to the tactical view of the first sector, sees my mercs and a few seconds after that sees me drop out of the game...

Deathmatch games work fine, we can start those without any problems whatsoever... Is it just that Co-op games aren't fully supported yet? Appypollyloggies if I missed that in the readme...

Weird, I played some CO-OP games yesterday without any problems. Did the server select the "Maxium AI" checkbox in the HOST screen? Maximum AI seems a little buggy. The server should not select this option for now.

I had the same problem with a friend when hamachi and it's IP was used but it worked fine later without it.

Our problem is that the game resets after we finished a sector but that is probably a feature request Smile

no, we're not using the maximum AI setting.. but we ARE trying to play via hamachi... seems likely that this is the problem. We just didn't think of it due to the fact that deathmatch games don't pose any problem at all.

i'm not at my computer right now, so there's the questions about the port forward settings that remain: are the ports to be found in the readme?

I dont think hamachi would be causing this issue. Besides you have already established a connection to get as far as you did.

There are no port forwarding settings in the readme cause the server can choose which port to host on.

Its an interesting problem, I'll try and replicate it.
