OK, newbie player should just play the game; but since I know I can use ProEdit to edit my mercs starting gear and weapons, I'm itching to do the same for my player character generated by IMP.

Yes, I know we have the classic principle of play the game and get more better goodies in action here. But it is plain silly for the guy with $45,000 to show up for the party in shorts and flip-flops carrying a pistol! Not wanting to equip meself with uber-super-goodies, just some basics like a helmet!

Is there a way to do this?

Wow. I think I actually understand most of this. This will be VERY helpful! Now I can dump the flip-flops and get the guy some boots, or whatever.

Going from the IMP value to HxD, in your example, you go from 869 -> 365 -> 6503.
In the shift from 365 you go to 03 65 and then reverse the number pairs to 65 03, right?

Does the order of the equipment in IMP matter? I'm assuming the program takes the various items and fits them into the appropriate slots or pockets or whatever.
