Hi guys, is there any possibility a trainer or something that allows me to hire Larry or Cougar sooner, than in day 21 or 30? I`m currently in day 17, hired all those crappy mercs from M.e.r.c. on day 3, Bubba was available from day 13 (payed checks every day and spend much more, than 5000 bucks). On day 16, Speck is having the same speech, when the new merc is available, but Larry`s still not there (mail from Speck not recieved). Tried to skip some time and i recieved mail speaking bout new merc on day 21. And now is available not only Larry, but even Numb. Actually i want to play with Larry, but don`t want to skip the time and playing normally, i will probably finish the game on day 21. Any help?

Could you be more concrete, please? I`m not familiar with the mods, don`t know what this ini is. Playing the original version of JA2.

This is getting out of hand. Everybody just assumes everyone else is playing the 1.13 mod like its the default game now. We don't need a "truely vanilla" board-- this is "JA2 & UB" and covers the topic just fine. There's a "JA 1.13" board to post 1.13 related stuff, its enough.
And you know what else? I like "vanilla" ja2, and I didn't like 1.13. I found it insanely unbalanced and full of redundent features, most of them ressurected from code the SirTech coders saw fit to disable. So please, don't assume its the natural evolution or something. Its an open-source sand-box where the resident board coders went nuts like a pack of Dr. Frankenstines eager to SHOW THEM ALL!, and what we have is a massive limbering Creature who's sole desire is to be liked but is so grotesque that people run away in terror. A lot less people than the ones that like the mod, but still, its a grotesque Frankenstinian beast of a game.
Sorry for hijiking the thread. Yes, 1.13 is the only place to get M.E.R.C. mercs early, 90210. Hope you like the mod.

I reckon 1.13 is what the original would have looked like if the developers had had an extra decade to mess about and get things right. I don't understand the backlash.
