Hi Everyone, I am playing WF 6.06 (with HAM 3.5 and AIM 42b) and was wondering how to get the OWNERSHIP items in Palmas without making the civilians hostile.

I searched the WF forum for Palmas but couldn't find anything. I never take ownership items because I am a nice guy (plus stuff usually isn't worth it).

In the South West sector of Palmas there are a couple warehouses and lots of crates with civilians buzzing around in large numbers. Some items don't have ownership, the more interesting ones do.

I cleared out the enemies without turing the civilians hostile, now when I grab something from a crate, the civis turn hostile and shoot me - a lot! I don't feel like killing everyone in that sector, is there another way to get the ownership items without making a mess?

Some of the civis don't want to move, so I can't pull the chain move trick where I get them out of sight. I haven't tried smoke (or mustard gas) yet.

Someone designed Palmas and put all the items with ownership in the crates, they must have had a plan on what the player was supposed to do here I feel.

The civs are Warden faction members, so killing them won't affect loyalty. Those probably are remnants of the time I had even more Warden civs spread out on maps. Just feel free to blast them. Smile

You found the guy responsible for that. Wink

It's slightly different with shops, though. The guards in shops usually wear red shirts and blue pants. Those are not warden civs, so killing them equals a shop robbery, affecting loyalty in the towns (for example the shops in Balime have them, and some shops in Meduna might also have some).

Hi smeagol, by the way, awesome job on the Alpha Item Mod, really love how you did the new attachments and attachment combos, you even found new and interesting ways to combine some of the "junk" items into cool gadgets, excellent job - you are my hero!!

Some of the warden faction guys in Palmas won't move, so I threw a mustard gas grenade close to them, they don't wear gas masks, so that means usually the end of that poor guy. Occasionally a close by warden will do an attack action but not turn hostile, so similar behavior to Tony (probably similar code gets executed).

I also found that the wardens who are willing to move, you can keep switching places until they are out of sight, and if no one can see you, you can just take the items without anyone turning hostile. Got the 9x19 AET ammo and the cash this way (but had to gas the lady standing in the building, she didn't want to move).

So there are some ways to get the items without slaughtering everyone in the sector, you just need to play around a little similar to what you do to get the chalice at the museum in Balime.

About your AIM mod, I am currently playing 42b, probably someone mentioned already that the 5.56 SWAT AR has burst fire but allows for attaching a trigger group, giving it 6 shot burst? Another thing which should be fixed (everywhere) is the G11 shouldn't allow for a rod & spring attachment, the gun uses a rotating cylinder to feed caseless ammo (yah I know I am probably too picky here).

If you have more suggestions how to turn junk into useful stuff, just post into the Item Mod Threads. I usually check those threads on a more regular basis than the threads this sub forum.

Once the faction issue is resolved (I hope that omeone will look into it in the near future... that might also help to resolve the map not loading bug, which seems to be related to factions), I will most definately implement the warden civs back into many more maps. Those are intended to be militia//para-military forces loyal to Deidranna.

I'll have a look at that. Again, stuff like that should be posted in the Item mod thread as well. I tend to forget stuff from time to time, especially if it's not very important to me (for example I almost never use SIG ARs, thus won't notice if anything is wrong with them in game), but having it in the place I look up most of the time, reminds me what I have to do.
