Any help if you guys have got the game working with the mod 1.13, im using windows 7 game worked fine just not the mod

it seems that the ja2.exe process does not have write access where you installed the game. do not install ja2 in the default program files folder. install it in another location, for example C:\games\ja2.

You simply have some files missing. I think you installed (unpacked) SCI in the empty folder, but you have to unpack it ON TOP of the original Jagged alliance 1.12 so you must have it installed.
Hope this helps.

Try using a user account with administrator privileges to install.
Do a custom install into custom folder (i.e. NOT \program files\ or the like)!

Don't just run "as admin", but log into admin account, then run installation. Disable on-access m

I have win7 home basic but i have all these features. Maybe your user account doesn't have admin privileges.

What features exactly are you referring to?

1. admin account: You said you already did "run as admin", so you must have an admin account. Razz
2. antivirus and security suites are present on most PCs these days. For installation of older games it might be necessary to disable them temporarily.
3. compatibility options: right click on file you want to execute -> properties -> compatibility.

HTH.

Once you got one successful and running installation, zip it up and put it somewhere safe. When you get into mods, you'll often be asked to install over a clean JA2, and unpacking is the fastest way to get one.

Virtual Machine is a Win7 feature, the feature of Win7Pro is the WinXP license. If you do have a license for XP, you can install them on a Win7 Home Premium, though you have to do it manually.
