Sorry the download had the STI's in the wrong map.
Move all the .sti files from the DATA folder to DATA/interface.
I'll correct this.

New version.

It's finished feature-wise, which means no feedback = no further updates. (and no bug fixes!)

Is there a fallback system in place? Like when some info is missing for a gun that it will have the standard 4 slot variant working for it?

There is a backup system that draws 4 slots when no XML entries is found.
These slots will however not take any normal attachments, because I want the new system to be independent. (Otherwise the game would have to use the old XML's even while using the new system)
Stuff like launchable's will however still attach to these slots.

EDIT:
I have however made a little program in java that is able to convert the old XML's into new ones for weapons, when used correctly (it's not really an easy thing though).

There's no room for 2 attachments on both sides, sadly.
So I won't move the image of the gun and you can't do that yourself unless you change the STI's.

You can however change the position of those 4 slots. They're the 4 default slots.
Just make sure you don't change their indexes.

You wouldn't have to program to change this Razz
Just replace the old STI with your own.
However I need more room on both sides of the picture for guns, because they can take attachments on the front and on the back.

It would look silly if I made that unsymmetrical Smile

look through the STI's included in the download Smile
Come to think of it you do need to change the code though for the weapon icon placement, sorry Sad

Edit:
You can still do the one where you don't move the weapon icon, though.
Just go to 1.13/tabledata and find AttachmentPositions.
You can change the x and y coordinates of the default slots there.

Do you mean the game slows down alot? Because that's probably because it's a debug exe which does all sorts of silly checks Smile

Yes that has nothing to do with NAS methinks.
It's just slow because of the debug mode.

Added version 0.31a.
Those combo merges should work now, along with titanium plates, ghillie suits and whatever else you can think of.

I will not add the XML that makes attachment slots storage bins though.

The item gets a slot for every kind of attachment that fits on it Smile
If they add more, more slots will appear ingame.
The amount of slots that are there now are really no limitation, you can add up to 50 slots. (In theory, don't know if every part of the game allows that)

Hi!
I just started a new game with NAS and would like to know if its possible to turn on the additional weapon info? Like noise and such.
And could you send me a screenshot with all attachment slots enabled?

Btw it would be great if you would enable a tooltip that shows what attachments each slot takes.

Just turn on "enhanced description box" in the in game options (should be the last of the right column), shouldn't cause any problems.

I may be able to make tooltips telling you what attachments fit in the slot.
There have also been suggestions for silhouettes, but I think tooltips are more informative.

And yes turning on Enhanced Description Box should work normally, if it doesn't please report it =)

For the screenshot, there isn't really any "maximum attachments slots", so that really wouldn't add anything above the screenshot posted in the first post.

You could add up to 50 attachment slots, hopefully.

Oh that's bad... I would really like to make nas look a bit better as I think it is a huge improvement on the gameplay(nas ...not the look). Now it looks a bit out of place in the interface and I dont know how we could change that with any number of slots possible. Btw where would the 50 slots go? Is there enough space for them? Or are the slots "stacked" based on which kind of attachment they take. E.g. just one barrel slot for silencer and flash suppressor. It would then be possible to group the slots (optical for sights/lam systems, handling for grips/stocks/bipods, performance for permanent/trigger/hi-cap, misc for suppressors/launchers etc) and define a maximum for each group and then make a nice looking design Smile. I would be glad if I could help you there.

Ah and thx for clearing the thing with the additional info.
