Our dear old BP has been running smoothly and fine, but it's bones are pretty old. Very old. I've decided to invest into an upgrade from 7.1 to 7.5.5, moving it to nowdays.

The upgrade SHOULD go smooth, but there are some differences due to gaps in versions so the forum will be closed for most of the day.

To be on the safe side, I have performed a FULL backup of both files and mysql databases, so we're safe.

With the notifications on the left side of the forum, just had an idea. What about making it a little more JA2ish by using the opened and unopened email confirmations? Would make it look a bit 1998 but seeing as everyone here is still playing a 12 yr old game I don't think that matters Wink

Or I could make up a couple of images in PNG if ya like Smile

The smiley's seem to indicate when on or offline. Or are you talking about in posts?

Regarding avatars: Can I use one's not from the stock files
Regarding smileys: I mean in posts. Also Having trouble with Bold, Italics, et cetera without manually doing it.

Also, Would it be possible to choose what our online icon is instead of mandatory smiley face?

It looks like those snap-in's haven't been fully activated yet. Just use the code for the moment.

As for the rest that's up to Shanga. Uploading Avatar's can use lots of bandwidth, so I wouldn't count on it.

Smiles work, but popup doesn't go away once you select one.

Only when you need one from view more smiles like the Paw Print

It remains open as a little window. The old way was better, show them all, remove once one is selected.

Oops, maybe not. Still keeps the smiles screen open as new window. Once one selects one, the smiles window should close.
