Hi guys,

Bugmonster has a modified version of a NPC script editor which supports Big Maps project. This editor is only in Russian language and we want to alter the source to support multi-language.

I can't code in delphi, so we are looking for a coders who can write code in delphi. If you want to help please support us.

Thanks guys.

May I complement this info:
Author of original sourcecodes had working on multilanguage version, with language switching several years ago, but unfinished it. He told what he don't coding on delphi anymore and have forgot all skills. So, we need a delphi coder with some experience, capable to finish language switching feature and maybe some more improvements.

I'm not very bilingual, only being able to read a little german and speak a little japansese, but Delphi is something I can definitely do... If I had Delphi.

Being only a moderate hobbyist coder, I'm not near the programmer you and some others are, and unfortunately the more JA2 1.13 went towards C++ and OOP, the longer it took me to do even the simplest of code, and the less time I had to spend meant getting anything done really took weeks...
I'm definitely more suited towards VB and Delphi, most of my professional development experience is actually in Delphi and Turbo Pascal.

I used to do some pascal programming at some point, I may be useful if given a piece of code and told what to do with it. Or at least I think that, I don't mind trying though.

Hey, you know how to program VB? Maybe you would want to help RoWa improve the XML Editor? Smile
It's a few steps behind the latest features and therefore not such a big help for modders anymore.

Did I ever mention I'm cursed to work with VBscript at work ? That's like VB's retarded cousin.

This open source re-implementation usually works. Of course the commercial RAD Studio is still much better, but it should be quite possible to continue coding the old code with this (maybe after fixing up some bits and pieces).

Thanks Radtoo, I will check that out.

Also, on a completely different note, I read somewhere that the active SVN branch changed, can anyone point me in the general direction of the active branch?

Known as 'Beta' or 'MP' branch, that's were all the development is currently going on.

When a release happens, is the code moved to the normal SVN branch?

Would be the logical thing to do, you'd have to ask RoWa21 for a definite answer though.

Hi Kaiden, have not seen you for a long time.

Yes thats true. If there is an official 1.13 release (like the 2085 release), the source code from the development trunk will be merged back to the official 1.13 source trunk.

Thanks Roman,

Still trying to figure out where everything is, where is the source for the NPC editor and the XML editor? I never messed with the XML editor, I thought it was in the trunk, but not sure if it is and where.

No prob.

The NPC Editor is not under SVN. You have to contact "bugmonster". He has the source code.
The XML Editor is located here. I am not sure if you have the SVN rights to access the trunk.

If you need and SVN rights, just PM me.

Perfect, I'm going to need a practice project with XML for a work project I have coming up in January, so I'll start with that. I'll let you know if SVN gives me any trouble.

On another note, I checked out the source and compiled in 2005 with no problems like I usually have when I've been gone for a while, so I can attempt to be of some help there too while I'm back.
