I am sure there is a lot i forgot, but before a few days, i had some bouncing moments with grenades:
The stupid one: i find the last enemy sitting behind a window in a house, easy to shoot normaly, but i decided to throw a stun nade to steal his stuff next round, my nadeexpert Barry is outside the window, just 2 fields away. I throw the nade PERFECTLY, and hit the body of the enemy soldier, but the nade bounced back from his body out of the window again and hits Barry, he of course with molotovs in his pockets.... exploding completly. DEAD.
The funny one: was throwing a nade on an enemy, in his front 2 enemys dying on the ground... the grenade landing on the first dying one, killing him, then bouncing on the second dying soldier, killing him too, bouncing on to my original Target, hits him -1 and..... NOTHING, the nade is a dud. I realy had to lough so hard unbelievable.
another 2 examples why JA is so great.

past caringI think one of my best (amongst many stupid moments) was soon after I picked up JA2 back in 98 or 99 While talking of the good old times when JA2 was fresh out of the box:
I still remember my first attack in Grum. I was playing on "Easy" so my team (I recall Barry and Meltdown were part of it) had not advanced notably in experience. And I also hardly had looted much good things. After taking Chitzena I hired Wolf spending most of my money for a 14-days contract. The reason was that I had tried to hire Shadow for a day and he refused - I must have had some casualties before - and I thought that when I offer them more money they were willing to join. So I called Wolf, offered 14 days, and he accepted.
I gave Wolf, who then was the most experienced of my team, my best weapon (probably a G3 or so) and all, three or so, breaklights. Then my team attacked Grumm Mine at night. I had them sneaking around without any enemy contact when Wolf heard a noise near by. I had him standing up and throwing a breaklight....
...it bounced against a tree and landed back between Wolf's feet. *bam* headshot and the great warrior was dead - on his first day of service, and without having seen a single enemy. Not to forget that now my best weapons and all remaining breaklights were lying in a cricle of light in full vision of the enemy.
Somehow the rest of the team made it on its own with their revolvers and SMGs. But with most of them wounded so that it took several days of doctoring before I could proceed to the next sector (thanks to "Easy" I not was attacked in the mine). The further fightings in Grumm were similar hard and bloody, that's why I called it "Stalingrum", avoided it in the next campaigns and still somehwat fear it when it comes to attacking Stalingrum.

I just started playing Jagged Alliance 2 the first time on Steam the other day and came here looking for a forum. Seeing this thread, and being a noob I thought I'd share a few of my stupid moments so far starting out.
First time throwing a grenade. I was in some tall grass and sneaking up a couple guys who were locking in on another guy in my group who was pinned down. I threw my grenade and started backing up. I waited - but no boom. Hmmm. I said maybe it'll go off next turn. Nope. Still no boom. Turns out I had looked at my inventory and mistaken my canteen for a grenade. It looked like a grenade, and I'd assaulted them with a canteen. I got my IMP and a few other guys killed in that firefight. After half my crew is wiped out Grizzly says something like "I don't think this battle's ever going to end." He was not liking me at all.
Another time I had Grizzly (or maybe Grunty) sneak up to the corner of a house to try to sneak a shot around the corner at a baddie who hadn't seen us yet. Ooops. He heard Grizzly and turns and puts two bullets in him next turn. I have Barry I think a few steps behind slightly out to the side. Grizzly only has a few AP so I turn to try to get him out of direct fire. I bring up Barry's gun to shoot - and end up killing Grizzly by shooting him in the head. It looked like my line of fire was OK, but nope.

Logistericyeah, and think of whom you want to sneak towards them redshirts may be
Yeah, beginning to learn some things about the game. I didn't realize shirt color mattered until you guys were talking about it. Come to think of it one of the red shirt guys did seem to take a lot of shots to kill.
It also seems like some of the bad guys can shoot alot farther more accurately than I can with their handguns, but haven't figured that out yet either.

stupid moments....damn i had a lot of those, i can't remember even half of those. I'm a hard-core player of ja2 been playing it from 2000 and still today, best game ever..... ever....ever...... thanx to all of you people who are keeping the game alive with mods and everything. ok now for some of my stupid moments. Had shadow sneaking around a corner with intent to knife the lights out of a guy, he turned and shot me (i was at full ap at the time), my health was down to half and i had 12 ap so i had a great idea to try to steal his weapon so i did, it worked, i had an enemy weapon the fact that i had no AP didnt bother me ) i pressed the next turn button. to bad that the goddamn enemy has a knife in pocket...bye bye shadow. Oh, i almost forgot, when i played jagged alliance for the first time i didn't know that you can create your own character, didnt know that you CAN get money from the mines!!!! So it looked like this, my team was made from dimitri, ira and hamous and when i wanted to take a city i hired shadow for a day and did a night attack (had one silenced weapon and throwing knifes and a lot of patience with load & save) oh my source of income was selling weapons to tony i had drassen, san mona, cambria and when i attacked grumm i find the guy who runs the mine and i had a daily income finally.....was so happy (dumbass) cheers guys
