I the ammo for the dart gun hard coded?
I have replaced the dartgun with another weapon, replaced the darts with ammo but, the ammo still behaves like the dart.

Can someone confirm??

Use JA2IE to change the stats of the dart. I made it into VS9mm magazine of 21 rounds for my mods; but you would also have to edit every map where darts occur and replace or you'll only get one round in the magazine. Shop keepers will sell whole magazines though (medical types like the guy in Balime).

In my memories there is something hardcoded with the dart gun. It's probably the "fall asleep" effect and it's probably on the item index. But I don't remember if it's on the item index of the gun or of the dart.

There are other weapons or projectyles hardcoded:
- The throwing knives have the "instant death" hardcoded on their item class I think.
- The two rocket rifles have a laser scope aim bonus, hardcoded on their item index I think.
- The silencer may use two or three different sounds. One or two of them are on the weapon item index and the last one is a default.
