Seems normal, right? It's not.

I spammed thermobaric grenades into that room to clear it of enemies after blowing the northwestern wall. The hitch is that what looks like one enemy in the screenshot is actually two, and those enemies are impossible to hit, blow up, or anything else. I've tried planting C4 next to them and spamming thermobaric grenades on their heads, and nothing. It appears as though I'm going to have to wait for them to bleed out or get up...and in either case, it's going to take a while.

And I can't reload to a point before they got glitched up like that, because I quicksaved after every turn of bloodcats and redshirts pouring into the room and into my waiting arms, and I only discovered them when I sent Conrad in after the flow of enemies had ebbed. And my earliest hard save before that was in the surface sector of Orta, and I really don't feel like taking the basement or the two sectors of Meduna I've already taken again. >.<

Any ideas to help?

EDIT: And knifing them doesn't help. It causes a hang or a deadlock or whatever it's called when that little stopwatch cursor is going.

And I'm stuck in turn-based mode for some reason >.<

EDIT 2: They were in poor and critical condition...the critical guy just died. I'm going to attempt to kill the other one now.

And it succeeded.

I wonder if maybe it had something to do with the fact that one of them had fallen inside a piece of control equipment.

You also could have left the sector and returned to it again. Will usually fix this and similar issues.

Looks like basic 1.13, a relatively recent version though, probably one of Tais's SCI.

Yeah, I don't have too many other mods running except what came with the 10-10-08 build of 1.13. Figured I'd get my feet wet with that, maybe do an LP for my clan, then dive into the world of other mods.
