Arnie uses rifle of this type, but judging by the fact the stock is folded, it may be an AR-18 rather than an AR-180. The semi-auto AR-180 had a fixed stock afaik.

Going by IMFDB, it was an actual AR18 in the movie. Here's what they have to say about it:

The gun is used with the stock removed (like the SPAS-12) and with two magazines taped together in a 'jungle style' configuration. He uses it primarily during the assault on the police station and during the car chase following the motel scene. The script refers to the rifle as an AR-18 and it is shown as such in the movie, though rather obviously a California gun store in 1984 would never sell a fully automatic rifle over the counter. The Terminator novel excuses this by stating the T-800 instead took a civilian AR-180 semi-automatic rifle and converted it to full-auto using tools stolen from a hardware store earlier in the day.

AR-180 is the civilian semi auto version, the AR-18 is the military full auto capable version, here is a review:

A working bayonet as a weapon attachment would be pretty sweet. Especially for the SKS. Razz

Magpul ACR, for certain as a modern toy that you could get excited about. I also think the KRISS Vector would give you a nice late-game option for .45 ammo.

And because mercs are eccentric individuals, something with style like this might be pretty neat. Anyone who's watched Ghost in the Shell might remember it.

I often like to have some of my IMPs use rather unusual items now and again, whether uniform pieces, more exotic knives, or what have you. A nifty revolver like that, even if it was no 5-7, would be the sort of thing I might use.

I thought the Vector was already in, however if it isn't I'll give it a shot along with the Remmington/Bushmaster ACR (Masada sold the design to Magpul who then licensed it to Bushmaster for mass production, who then got Remmington to mass produce it...).

I did the same with Rico's Signature Gun for my IMP (also made a portrait of Rico Wink ) and gave it a 25mm underslung grenade launcher with single loading grenades (same as the XM-25's) even though the fluff for it says it's a 30mm launcher. However it's size would be 25mm max anyway from the image!

Making that mod though is a bit involved and takes a fair bit of time in the XML editor too...]

If people want I can release the images for the Underslung Launcher and the 25mm single shells too...

Is there a master list of gun suggestions anywhere? I'd love to suggest both the KRISS as a late-game SMG (which would also be a great way to use up .45 ammunition) and the M1918A3 BAR, chambered in 7.62 NATO, but I know the KRISS was suggested already.

Although this thread says 'Gun's I'd like to see', there are still some new items in Standard 1.13 that still need some pictures, as currently only placeholders are used. The are:

  • small and medium pics for the KAC Masterkey (item 1522)
  • pics for the replacable MG barrels (items 1377 - 1381)
  • rifle sling (item 1525)
  • the makeshift tripwire mines (1528 - 1534) might also need a bit of wire, at least the big pictures. Nothing fancy, just a bit of wire, so one can see the difference

What about some more grenades - the GP-30/Kastet launcher can also throw smoke (GRD) and tear gas (Gvozd) grenades. They both weigh 265 grams and I can't find a picture, although what little I can find seems to indicate that they look basically just like a standard VOG-25, would give a slight versatility boost to the combloc 40mm grenades.

Not everyone plays with NATO weapons, and the gas versions of the VOG seem mildly more pertinent for a 90s game than an oddball 43mm grenade that only came in the mid 2000s. Unless I missed something and the other rifle grenades work in the GP-30...

Also it's not that much work, it's more an itch I had midway through a playthrough.

There are marbles you can use for fragments. Smeagol already uses them in AIMNAS (shaped charge + marbles + can= homemade frag grenade)

Yea, i would love to see it, some more junks and scraps for making new items would be awesome. I've tried to do it myself but i lack the imaging and mapping skills. The best thing i've done is duplicating some old items for visuals and changing them and adding them to enemy drop rates.

I could make lots of pictures for this. But I can only exchange existing bmps into the sti-file, I'm not familiar enough to the editor to ADD the bmps. someone else would have to do this. Nails, broken light bulbs, pepper, tobacco sauce, broken glass, thermite... I can think of MANY ways to make things go boom in an extraordinary (and painful) way.

I already sprited the Mateba Unica 6 and the Mateba Grifone (the carbine variant) a while ago. wil473 is using them in UC-1.13.

I do think 1.13 should adopt that thing if only because it is such a unique firearm (and because we need more stuff in .454, always!).

STIedit has a copy/paste function. I'm using it to copy one item from a mod to another. It's pretty easy.

AFAIK we don't have a quartermaster to approve new guns for base 1.13 mod and many people are agreed that base 1.13 should be base for other modmods and it no longer needs any more firearms except demonstration purposes like masterkey is added when underbarrel guns feature introduced. So posting new guns here is redundant.

And there are many item mods which include all the suggested items.

It can be made with an item transmutation. Duplicate the axe. Modify the duplicant to be throwing knife. Add transformations for changing item between two. And you'll have a weapon both melee and throwing.
