Hey folks,
im currently using the SCI for 1.13WF by Tais and rescuing Maria makes me go nuts!

Whatever i do im not able to pull this off quietly.
Either i trigger the magic backdoor alarm(which i did detrap/unlock)or i get spotted in Angels sector and everything goes FUBAR.
Tryed day/night but still screw up galore for me.

Is this suppposed to just piss off the Kingpin faction?(which Tony is a part of if i remember right)
Meaning, that you should do the quest when you dont really need Tony anymore.
Or am i missing something here?

Some guidance would be greatly apprecited

there are 4 (four!) triggers on the backdoor. so it's easier if you have detector with you.

in Angel sector there were some complications as Maria can not climb over fence - and if she walks around, she is seen by some bad guys. so iirc i removed some fence with grenade - and i did it at night, then moving into Angels shop.

Actually i've found that a mine planted in the doorway you need to sneak Maria out of makes the the only way out of the bordello to be via the front door. That means you need to kill off the kingpin faction before you can free Maria. The upside of all of this is that Tony doesn't seem to have a faction in WF 1.13 so it doesn't really matter.

Hmm... I actually always rescue Maria without killing any of kingpins dudes. The trick is not be seen by any of them when leaving the building with her. There is a guy patroling the area (that guy tends to spent a lot of time in the kitchen... it is quite possible to put another merc before the door to block him in the kitchen), he might have seen you on your way out.

It is doable, no need to go ballistic on the goons. Save before trying though...

You can just defuse the triggers at the door like normal mines.
i did that and sneaked her out in the dark, no problem at all.
If u know about the triggers that is^^

This trick has been around since the old days.
I always used to send two gyus in, one to block and one to spring Maria.

I only got some 50 bucks instead of the expected 10,000 from the guy with the tatoo shop (tried to shoot him in reward but he was to quick out of the door when I found out). Is that supposed to be in WF?

First of all, hi everyone, new here, not so new when it comes to JA series, currently playing wf6.06-enjoying so far pretty much.

As regarding to the "magic" alarm as far as I know there is a switch on the wall where you pick up the key for the door-if you turn it off the alarm becomes disabled Wink

Off topic here lads, anyone encountered a bug(?) I captured Chitzena, Drassen-food arrived to Omerta but when I enter the rebel hideout and talk to Miguel he replies-Thank you for the food..., then it switches to Carlos he says are you sure its wise Miguel and then nothing happens. If I talk to Miguel he says we have nothing to talk about.

I remember in wf I had them in my party after delivering the food and liberating the two cities I mentioned. Has it been changed or I just gotta play without them?(earlier save is not an option-just survived the Drassen counter attack)

no prob - in wf (retail and this) you can recruit dimitri from the start - so no 'i give you dimitri for the food' as in standard ja2

I am playing JA2 Wildfire from Tais' SCI and managed to complete the Maria quest.
It wasn't too difficult to get her out of the brothel, just had to disarm all the alarms at the rear entrance. I had some trouble bringing her to her brother in the adjacent sector because the neighbour is one of Kingpin's men and saw her trough the window. I had to bring her trough the rear door of Angel's shop, so she could talk to her brother without the neighbour seeing her.

Things were a bit buggy to get my reward, I had to reload several time, changing my mercs position so I could get the deeds for Angel's shop, but I get it eventually.

btw when i get the quest i usually shoot all the mobsters and then walk maria out the front-door - i never bothered about the alarms
