I don't want to deactivate Pablo stealing from my shipments in the INI editor, but I really don't like the idea that a really expensive gun might disappear from my order.

Anyone have any tips for dealing with Pablo?

How often do I need to grease his palms to keep him outta my shit? How much do I need to give him?

Wow really?

Thanks.

I figured it would be a much bigger deal if they offered the ability to turn the feature off

Beating him up should work too if that hasn't been taken out in 1.13
And we all know you really like that. Smile

If Sal is dead, add 1-5 days delay on every order.

Don't forget that Pablo stealing from your shipment and the 10% chance of the shipment disappearing ENTIRELY are unrelated settings.

Yeah I usually turn off the "chance of shipment lost", or at least turn it down to 1-2%. Mainly because I hate that there's absolutely no notification when it happens. When Pablo steals from you your mercs comment on it when opening the crate. If a shipment gets lost you should at least get an e-mail from Bobby Ray's going "Whoops! Guess we should have bought postal insurance!" just to let you know that your guns aren't coming.

I just bribe Pablo some trivial amount every time I place an order. Although there is an advantage to letting him steal then beating him up, because while it takes an extra day for you to get your stuff, he'll drop some extra stuff in the box along with it, which can sometimes be surprisingly good (once I found 10 grand in cash in there! Gee, thanks Pablo!)

Yep multiple solutions!

I always take the easy and fun one. When Pablo steals I usually shoot him in the nuts(legs) or stab him in the throat(hoping he'd survive) then I patch him up with first aid after he promises to return the stuff back.

I had to punish him twice before he stopped putting his fingers in my delivery crate. Great fun every time! Plus I get to practice my killing skills on him. Smile

How do you beat up Pablo and get him to return your stuff? When I try he doesn't say anything, just cower and run around a bit, and when I try talking to him he just says "What is wrong with you?" He also refuses to be patched up by me.

I'm playing Tai's SCI_AIMNASv17.02_4057_20110417.exe

maybe he really didn't steal from you!

Just another note:

I noticed in vanilla that when I attacked Pablo Escobar, while militia were in the sector, the militia would become hostile.

you should wait for a missing stuff-line from one of your mercs before you deal with pablo

@ taO

sure? they became hostile towards pablo - if you kicked him twice they finished him off

nope - sal does not steal anything - he just can't find your deliveries - that you still get missing stuff lines is a bug (dead mean do't do stealing) - i want this bug fixed - no problem with more random losses after pablo and sal rest with osama

It would appear you were correct and that my paranoia got away with me. I could have sworn the thieving bastard was stealing from me, but alas no.

Give him some of that coffee money, helps keeps his eyes open. Every time I make an order I drop him $10 and never had a problem with him stealing, just the occasional missing shipment (damned NATO enforcement, I WANS MY GUNZ!)

anyway to prevent this? i know we can just reload the game but is there a way?
i thought its related to using the facilities in sam sites(one of the mods?) i dont know, i was just thinking that 10% maybe the queen decided to shoot down planes she find suspicious. so using sam site facility might guide the plane to the a safer route or intercept other AA missiles from reaching the plane(i know it doesnt work that way, it just sounds cool Very Happy)

bobby rays would be so pissed to lose a plane when someone just ordered a single canteen XD
