Hello...

I am trying to use Dragon Unpacker 5 to unpack an SLF. It opens the package fine, showing that the slf is filled with .sti files. Okay. I right click on the SLF in the left window and select Extract all. Everything extracts fine to a folder, but when I open the folder all of the sti's have been converted to Open Office Presentation templates. I don't have open office installed on this computer. Am I forgetting to do a step? Do I need a plug-in or something?

Thanks

LoMac

Are you sure this is not just a wrong file association? I take it you have an Sti-Editor to view Sti's installed? If not grab the ST Edit program from here....

Thanks for answering Hawkeye...

I am making a mod of the vanilla game. Solo. Yes, I am nuts.

I was trying to get a vanilla game map editor to work and the thread where I found it suggested that I may need to unpack UB's Editor.slf. It was during this process that I found the oddity. I could use sti-editor to extract the files and save them somewhere else, but one at a time. Dragon unpacker promised to let me do it in batches. Oh well.

I just used sti-editor to extract the sti and put it into a working folder and the same conversion happened.

I am beginning to think that the problem is with XP. I have an old notebook that the keyboard is bunged up on. I probably could... well its been a long time since I've broken XP on purpose but perhaps I could install Windows 98 there and try the map editor.

Sorry, I digress... Thanks for the response and the links.

Some have also said the GRV tool is handier for viewing multiple .sti files.
