Having a nice time with a WF 6.06 Retail campaign atm. Smile

Went from Omerta to San Mona with Dodger, Buns, Ice, Nails, Grunty, Brain, Ira and Dimitri...
...east of the town I ran into some redshirts, gunned em down and noticed that the guys guarding the "drug-farm" have some nice looking weapons...

...grabbed a Colt Commando, gunned the bunch of em down..

...San Mona was still friendly then, earned some cash with boxing in San Mona, Kingpin invited me to his house, Carmen gave me the "Hunt the terrorists-quest" too...

...noticed the guards there, moved on to La Chitzena...arrived there at night - killing all enemies in all four sectors and liberating the town in night one...mine works for me...

...Dodger, Buns, Nails, Grunty, Brain and Ice take the truck and drive back to San Mona, wanting to sell some loot to Toni, Dimitri stays behind with Ira and Hamous, to train militia and repair some smgs...

The jolly truck drivers are greeted by a hail of bullets form Kingpins dudes when entering San Mona mine sector...the mafia guys are all hostile now - we gun em down (stealing some more weapons from em)

...off to El Grumm we drive...running into a 15 man patrol along the way, killing em all, north of the mine we run into the roadblock...we park the truck there, sneak around the guards and go directly for the mine...

...sneaked close to the main mine building, guy one comes looking outside thru the door, gets his gun stolen and a knife to the neck, same with his buddy who follows soon later...

...no one's coming outside anymore, so Nails blows up the wall with hmx and we - guess what! we gun em all down ,-) stealing some more nice weapons along the way (HK 53, Mini 14, MP5 A3s...)

In night 2 the strike team clears all other sectors of El Grumm, grabs some more nice guns from enemies including two Steyer Aug guys standing on sandbagged lookout "towers"(Woot!), also found a H&K G3 and a M14, killed two terrorists in a bar "Druggist and T-Rex", got a nice AKM and two MAc-10s from em too...

...So what, we need reinforcements, we need em in Grumm in case of a counterattack, lets take the same site south of LA Chitzena and fly em boys and girls directly to Grumm instead of to Omerta..

The team goes north to clear the roadblock, cause we need our Ice cream truck which is still there..in the morning light they wreak havoc with their new nice and shiny guns on the roadblock guards...

...Ice and Buns stay behind in Grumm mine, training militia...Dodger, Nails, Brain and Grunty head off to the North western Sam site with the truck...clearing it in night 3...got a nice G36 there..

Hired, Trevor, Numb and Blood, ordered them droped directly on the Sam site...moved off to San Mona with the truck, clearing the drug farm stronghold west of San Mona Toni sector, looting quite much...moved into San Mona - hoping to still be able to selling stuff to Toni, but damn, he's also hostile now...killed him and Hans with hand grenades...looted all the money...killed all of Kingpins dudes including Kingpin after that, adding another Steyer and a Mini 30 to my weapon collection and getting 100.000$ loot out of it...

Dream team drove back to Grumm mine then...cause the enemy is assembling around it...

Hired Fidel and Sidney to drop on Grumm mine...Ice finished training first militia there, drove of to the Sam site, to train some militia there too...
Trevor, Numb and Blood take the truck from him and head off to San Mona to loot some (found 5 gas tanks so far, so nuff fuel for this babe)...

Day 4, 0:00 ... Dodger, Buns, Grunty, Nails and Brain move out of Grumm mine to intercept the incoming enemies...the next firefight begins! Wink

What a blast to play, having lots of fun, need to take Drassen airport soon, need weapons from Bobby Ray'S Wink

I miss many features of JA2 1.13 in WF 6.06, still having lots of fun.
Stealing weapons instead of "Drop all" is actually more fun then I expected Wink

Fighting is more intense somehow in WF 6.06, having more close range fights, using tons of grenades and explosives to blast enemies out of there hiding holes...

This game just rox!

Will give JA2 WF 6.06 mod a try next time I guess.

Ok, so my A-Team killed the noob soldiers near Grumm mine...

...but 20 elite grunts sneak around Grumm and go for he Sam site...

A-Team is too exhausted to follow em up north, so only my B-Team is at hand....

Trevor (Colt Commando), Ice(Mini 30), Numb (Colt Commando), Dimitri (Colt Commando), and Hamous (MP5 A3)....

...vs 20 black shirts..with sniper and assault rifles....argh...

They attack in broad daylight from the south (!)...

...some swim thru the water towards my defense position - some come closer on the beach in the east...

Only Ice wounds a few with his Mini 30 before being killed, the others manage nothing besides being killed...

...so - reload - next try - all my guys take shelter in the windowless room in the south-western corner...

The bad guys start to come thru the door, first 3 or four get interrupted and killed while moving thru the door, but then they just storm in and kill my guys...

...so - reload - next try - Trevor digs up 8 landmines and "prepares" the "room"
(blasted some nice big holes in the house with Nails' HMX during taking the site..) in front of the door with the 8 landmines and a single remote-controled TNT surprise...

Dimitri, Blood, Ice and Trevor take shelter in the room, Ice plays the lookout in the doorway...

...they attack...first two are killed swimming towards the island by Ice with his Mini 30, next two die on the beach...a 5th dies 6 tiles away from the door, bullets are flying all around Ice now...

..he retreats into the room, and closes the door...

...much movement sounds outside..

Trevor uses his remote control - BADABOOM!

5 guys die instantly, maybe more... (5 gas and smoke grenades went off after the explosion), some more are wounded...

The next guys die while trying to enter the room - I even manage to snatch a Dragunov from one - the last ones are hunted down outside, where I find a H&K MSG-90 among the corpses.

Only Blood was wounded in the action...

Woa - that was fun Wink

Meanwhile, we took Drassen (Dimitri alone killed 30 guys with his throwing knives during that night) + the western Sam site...

Bobby Ray's is disappointing...only sells some lousy ammo + crappy weapons... (1.13, I miss you!)

Am bogged down in Drassen and Grumm atm 'cause of waves of incoming enemies...

Dimitri and Brain just brought 3 AKMs + a G3 to Grumm with the ice truck, to give better equipmemt to the Grumm defenders...got involved in another firefight north of the Grumm mine...

Captured a HK 33A2 and...a mortar! Smile

Will drive some 40mm grenades and the heads of T-Rex and Druggist to Drassen, Carmen is there atm...

Still searching for Skyrider around Drassen...Drassen mine is not working for me yet...

Ira is busy in Chitzena training militia, will drive her to Drassen asap to speak to Father Walker...

Still having lots of fun, but dearly missing some 1.13 features Wink ...

So yeah, we defeated some waves of Deidranna's minions in and around Grumm, Drassen and the western Sam site...

Buns and Flo defended the western Sam site with 20 green militia vs 20 elites...Flo didn't hit shit, but Buns shot lots of heads from shoulders with her MSG90... 16 militia died...

Drove with Syndney and Dimitri from Grumm to Chitzena to get Ira to Drassen..

Fidel, Ice, Blood, Numb, Hamous and Brain defeated several enemy patrols in and around Grumm, during one night a well aimed mortar round knocked 13 enemy guys down in one stroke, woot! Wink

After killing dozens of foes around Drassen, Dodger, Nails, Dimitri, Grunty and Sydney moved to Alma...sneaked in, killed half a dozen foes silently, then killed the general's guards and the general, looted the V94 killah rifle, gunned down the oncoming "we want to push the button dudes" and took out the remaining rooftop snipers. Smile

For those who don't really know how to grab a gun from those Uber-soldiers on the rooftops:

- Try to get as close as possible to enemy position, close in from several directions...

- Try to get off the first shot, for example use night operarions expert with nv-gooles at night...

- Wound the "prey" with some shots (no torso shots with 12,7 mm HE-AP ammo tho, lol),

- throw a grenade up there to knock him flat...sprint towards his position...

- sneak close so you can climb up there...

- distract enemy with shot / noise from opposite direction / let him make a mistake
(like shoting at hard to hit merc and missing )

- climb up, punch him in da face to knock him flat once more...

- next round, grab gun (Hooray for Steyers, woot!), next round, enemy may rise once more, just punch him in da face again and send him flying Wink

Took me almost 4 hours to clear that first sector of Alma, still was great fun Wink

Fun fact - the second I finished Alma sector one, another fight broke out near Grumm...

Btw, where is Skyrider!? - and why is Carmen always..elsewhere...lol

The other sectors in La Alma were ... woa ... what a blast to play! Smile

Very challenging, I began fighting in H13 around 6:30 on day 10, finished there 7:05, moved on to H14, had a great position to lure enemies into "Bang! -snatchgun- BANG!" - position, grabbed 3 G3s, SVD and a Mini 30 from da foe and slowly but steadily cleared the sector - found enough ammo, eplosives and other equipment in the crates for a nice lil war... Smile

Went back to H13, took the tunnel to I13 (evil tunnel fighting, holy shit), killed off the die hard guards there, capturing a Minimi from em...then went again to H14 - grabbing the mortar and moving on to I14 to clear the mine...

Blasted some of the buggers out of their holes with mortar rounds / explosives, some ate grenades n stuff...fighting ceased around 10:15...

Dodger, Grunty, Nails, Sidney and Dimtri (each wounded at least once during the action in Alma) took a break after the fight.... Wink

Hired Bull and Malice after the fight, need strong guys to carry all the stuff around...ordered em dropped in Drassen, enemy patrol is coming near, only Biff, Ira and Trevor in Drassen atm...Buns on the way to Drassen airport too, seems they'll strike there...

Grumm defenders face the next big enemy patol too, lurking around in I3...

So fighting on three fronts now, it's day 11, El Drassen @ 59% loyality and still the mine's not working for me (damn!), La Citzzena mine is running dry, no one knows where Skyrider hides and yea, let em come - we'll make em pay! Wink

Edit: Lol, Numb just killed an enemy in another defense of Grumm...with...a chemical light! Muaharhar... Wink

...ambushed em attackers in H3, placed my mercs in the rocks near southern map edge, they attacked @ 06:23...stumbled into some nice assault rifle salvos, one dying guy was hit by Numb's chemical light - died, and Numb said "Dem hab' ich's gezeigt!" lol Wink

When Drassen airport was attacked, Bull and Malice hadn't arrived yet, and Buns was'nt there in time before the enemy came...so Trevor, Biff, Ira and some green as grass milita faced the attack @ 6 o'clock in the morning...

...went surprisingly good, Trevor trew some chemical lights from the roof into in the general direction of da foe (west), him and Ira gunned a dozen down (Biff hit once or twice too, lol), the other 6 were killed by the militia, which suffered only 3 casualities...

Good thing there were so few blackshirts among the attackers...

Some of D's minions tried to counterattack Alma, but were butchered by my A-team before they even reached the city...

Money..omg...we need more money...

With Drassen mine still not working for me (61% loyality or so), Alma mine not working for me either, having to pay all those merc paychecks and the need to train militia like no tomorrow, I decided to go to Tixa to free Dynamo (Brother of Alma - mining chief) to raise overall loyality in Alma...

Armed to the teeth, Dodger, Buns, Nails, Dimitri and Sidney left Alma for Tixa while Grunty stayed in Alma to train some more militia (Sidney would have been the better choice, being a better teacher and all, but yea, shit happens Wink

Sneaked into Tixa during night, Nails brought us thru the minefield, cut a hole in the fence and the team entered...Dimitri killed 2 guys silently with his knives, Nails gunned down a third with his silenced UMP, but then all hell broke loose when Nails used HMX to blow a door to shreds (Warden was behind that door, she intantly died in a hail of bullets)...

Imho the guards weren't that hard to kill with my battlehardened team... Wink

After the fight I fired Flo and Biff (pretty useless guys, can't even teach properly in WF 6.06) and hired Dynamo and...yea...Shank - pretty useless guy, but he has the spirit! lol

Went on to the middle Sam site...same procedure as in Tixa, Snake brought the team thru the minefield, cut the fence, team entered, killed 2 or 3 dudes silently and then just gunned the whole sorry lot down...another big pile of salvage for us, woohoo! Smile
(including 2 SVDs, SVU, FN-FAL, another mortar + nice heap of ammo, explosives and equipment.

Btw, when not wanting to waste precious mortar rounds / law rockets / explosives to open...doors and stuff, I dig up some landmines, place them in front of the door which needs to disappear, back away, and throw a mini grenade - BADABOOM - door, er, wall open Wink

Buns stayed in the compound, training militia and Dodger, Nails, Dimtri, Dynamo and Shank waltzed on to Cambria.

Was a cakewalk, the defenders there were pretty...pathetic Wink

Nails thought he carried too much remote controlled HMX charges around, and put 'em to good use when we sent the hillbillies east of Cambria to hell...

Also found another terrorist in Alma - Terry, pretending to need a wheelchair...one salvo put him down...

Also found Carmen again in a bar in Drassen - Ira gave him the two heads which were lying around in D-13, recieved the money 2 days later from him in a bar in Cambria...

Next, Ira, Trevor and Malice took the Ice cream truck drive to Cambria...

Fought thru the roadblock at night with the help of half a dozen chemical lights and mini-grenades...meanwhile trained militia in every sector in Cambria... (money, argh! we need more money!)

Counterattack @ the Cambria Sam site was fought off by Buns and Dodger alone (killed 20 blackshirts with lead, laws and luck, lol), then fought of several attacks on Cambria before they reached the city...

Then - Dodger, Nails, Ira and Malice drove on to San Mona to fullfill the "Joey-quest", found Joey in the mine, fired Hamous to be able to recruit him :-/, drove him back to his mum in Cambria and yea, now the mine there worked for me, and Dynamo gets treated in the hospital Smile

Ice and Trevor didn't want to participate any longer in the campaign and left Arulco via Drassen...so Ira and Malice drove to Omerta and "hired" Miguel and Carlos Smile

Meanwhile fought off some more weak counterattack-attempts on Cambria (discoverd a nice ammo depot in H-10 in one of the fights), while Grunty dealt with 14 attackers in Alma all by himself Smile

Ira, Miguel, Carlos and Malice drove to Drassen - 81% loyality meanwhile, and Miguel spoke to the mine chief - yea - this mine works for me too now... after the smalltalk at the mine off to Alma they rolled...

Parked the truck in H-13, then Grunty, Miguel, Carlos, Ira and Malice moved to I-16 to kill off the Bloodcats...

Now we have day 18, our positions look solid - having trained militia in La Chitzena, El Drassen, El Grumm, La Cambria , La Alma and all the Sam sites like mad, money is rolling in quite well, and we look forward to taking El Balime, Ortha and finally... Meduna! (Skyrider, dude, where are you! Damn it! lol)

So - Carlos, Miguel, Ira, Grunty, Malice and Nails took El Balime...and D is furious about it - furious! Wink
(Miguel stole the chalice from the museum, still got it, will bring it to Chitzena...when I find the time for it, hehe)

Had 12 firefights after taking that city, cleared some sectors along the coast west of El Balime and fought off some counterattacks on El Balime, El Grumm and La Cambria...

Miguel and Carlos are doing a fine job so far, those guys are fun to play Smile

Yea, Ortha was definetly worth it - very tough fighting, especially in the basement - but very rewarding too Smile

Shitty planning by me btw, team 1 went there without any tech-support by Brain or Nails, so unable to pick any locks on the site...

...so they just killed any foes "outside" and waited for team 3 to arrive... :-/

Then Brain joined team 1, while Buns joined team 3...

Team 1 blew up the wall behind the locked room and went down...

Pretty rough fight down there (used lots of smoke and BOOM-grenades), glad no one got killed and only Dimitri, Dodger and Brain suffered some minor wounds...

Captured the silent VSS and AS VAL + ammo, a pair of MP7s for Ira, a P90 for Miguel and...other nice stuff... Wink

Time to take some rest now, then we march towards Meduna....

(BTW, keeping 6-man teams 'cause more don't fit into the vehicles...)

So - Team 1 and 2 took the Hummer and the Ice Cream truck to M-6...

Arrived there in pitch black night...disembarked, and sneaked in...

20 minutes later every foe in that sector had lost his / her life, fighting was not too hard...

On they went to M-5, ran into strong resistance...spent some chemical lights, 3 mortar rounds and 3 LAWs + lots of lead to chew thru the defenders and their 3 T-55 tanks...Iggy destroyed 2 tanks with well aimed LAW shots, the 3rd ate one of Miguel's LAW rpgs but needed one of Brain's mortar rounds ontop of it to blow up - quite a miracle none of my mercs got killed there...

(Took a whole real time evening to blast thru that sector....)

After 15 minutes rest (lol) they drove on to...Meduna (N-5)!

The 2 teams entered in the northeastern corner...sneaked up close to the big palazzo-like building in the middle, wondering why the didn't encounter any guards so far...

Brain opened the NE big garage-like door of that building, followed by 5 of my guys...then Brain opened the next door - stumbling into a ... BLoodcat ^^ one burst blasted it to pieces...then the others came rushing in, some alarm was sounding too...burst after burst from Brain, Blood, Grunty, Dodger, Sidney and Dimitri took em cats out...

Most mercs went into the building now, with Carlos, Ira, Iggy Blood and Malice on watch on both corners of the palazzo - Brain went outside to switch positions with Nails who was on "mortar-guard" - duty to the east...

Nails went into the building now, deciding to lose some weight by using a HMX fun-package inside da house on the nothern wall seperating the northern wing from the "cat-cages"...

BOOOOOM! Surprised and shocked-looking guard 30 meter to the west raises his gun - BLAM! Nails paints his brain on the wall with a well placed 7.62 round to the forehead using his trusty FN-FAL...

Then all hell broke lose... Wink

Damn, what a tough fight...lots of hardcore guards to gun down there...

Used 4 mortar rounds during that fight, some of them houses look pretty shitty now... Wink

Night specialists Grunty, Nails and Miguel were doing a really fine job on scouting out most of the defenders....

Blood punched down one wounded elite guard and stole his RPK pretty early in the fight, using that thing in the fight that followed, firing prone from behind a hedge covering the crossroad in the middle...after the fight he had 2 shots left and threw the RPK (no 7,62 WP ammo around) away to pick up his G-36 again...

Iggy didn't only take care of the two T-55 tanks with LAWS (both took a mortar round too), no he also used one LAW to blast a nice hole into the western wall of the "palazzo"...Dimitri threw 2 hand- and one mustard-grenade into the breach...the guards that stumbled outside were gunned down by Ira, Carlos, and Doger...

Was a very tough and fun to play fight Smile

Left the wounded Malice and Carlos + the Hummer and the Ice Cream truck in N-5, ordered the now quite rested team 3 from K-4 to M-4...

And the now 10-mercs strong Team 1 took the sewer tunnel to...the Meduna Sam Site...(N-4)...

Arrived there at 6 o'clock in the morning ... still pretty dark outside...no one noticed the arrival...

Luckily found no enemies in that building...team spread out, covering all three doors leading outwards....

Nails opened the western door, sneaking the few metres to the next building...Brain opened the northern door - spotting the first foe...Grunty silence him with 2 well placed round from his VSS Vintores...Nails notices the next enemy, having to shoot thru a doorframe and a window missing the guy in the east...Iggy stepped into line of sightand put a round between his eyes...Miguel spots the next foe, roof sniper on the building where Nails is hiding...a burst from his FN-FAL at least wounds the bugger...Nails jumps up there and guns the poor guy down...

A T-55 to the south-east spots Nails on the roof and KABOOOOM! fires it's main gun, missing Nails only by a metre or so (lol, stoopid tankers, firing their main gun on a rooftop guy ^^)....Nails drops flat, Iggy come out of the building, and then round the corner and takes the tank out of action with some LAW love...

And the fight goes on... Wink

Really nice those sewer tunnels btw, quite easy infiltration...so far... Wink

BTW, good that the AI doesn't blow up buildings like we do Wink

The fight for the Meduna Sam site wasn't that hard in the end - only tricky part in my opionion is to not wound the armed civilians near the tank in the middle - if they are wounded they turn hostile and loyality drops to 0 % in Meduna...

There is a problem with anti-tank ammo though...the 10-merc team that took the sam site is down to 1 LAW rpg and a few mortar shells....

The hope was that team 3 would bring some LAWS and a V94 + AP-HE ammo, but when that team stumbled into sector M-4...holy shit...sneaking thru that sector could maybe have been possible, but Buns, Fidel, Numb, Bull, Dynamo and Shank wanted to clear that area of all enemies...

What a nightmare fight...4 times Fidel, Numb or Buns looked around a corner, fired a LAW / V94 round into an enemy tank - retreated behind that corner and the tanks fired back ^^ smashing big holes in 5 buildings... ^^ (luckily my mercs suffered only minor wounds in the process...)

After destroying 4 tanks and damaging a 5th + spotting a 6th, having spend all LAWs and V94 AP-HE ammo the team had to retreat to M-5...on to N-5 they went, took the Hummer to Alma, Cambria and back to Meduna to bring in some dearly needed LAWs, mortar rounds and explosives...

Since nobody but Buns really seems to like Sidney and Brain threatened to go home if he stayed I fired Sid...unfortunately Nails will leave soon too (said he needed a break)...

Let's see which mercs I'll hire for replacements... (money is no problem anymore)

Meduna is @ 13 % loyality atm...planning to attack the airport next (maybe clear M-4 too), hoping to bring loyality to at least 20 % to train some militia in the captured sectors...
