Hello, and pardon my naivette if I'm making some obvious mistake, but when my merc team trains a group of militia only 1/2 the # trained in strategic appears in tactical. I've tried using several different variables in the .ini for the amount trained but no matter how many are present in a sector in strategic only 1/2 said # appear in tactical. It's worth noting however, that strangely enough the total amount trained are available in Auto Resolve.

Said team has just liberated Drassen and were training the militia in the southernmost sector (in preparation for the Queen's counter-attack). I'm running the steam version of JA2 with the latest 1.13 release and 4462 hotfix via the auto-extracting exe.

I've also included a copy of my JA2_options.ini file just in case I made some mistake there

Any help is most sincerely appreciated.

Edit: Sorry, I accidentally posted this to the wrong forum, would someone please move it?

my only idea is that You edited the wrong ini and that the following line is set to true.

WE_SEE_WHAT_MILITIA_SEES_AND_VICE_VERSA = FALSE

welcome to the pit - take a shovel and help excavating it

Beautiful, it worked perfectly! Now where do I start digging? (seriously)

Also as a sidenote whenever I try to open the merc editor I get the error
"The paging file is too small for this operation to complete"
any thoughts?

Maybe some shortage of RAM and subsequently a shortage of Paging file space?
What are the specs of your pc?

take the oldest computer you ever remember owning, then hit it with a hammer a few times and that's more or less mine.

But on a more serious note, Single-core 1.87 GHz with integrated graphics and 1gb of RAM.

Well if you go to Control-Panel -> System -> Tab Advanced -> Performance -> Tab Advanced -> Virtual Memory and post the values you have there, that's the place where the Paging File size is set, if it's to small you can get these errors.

My menu hierarchy wasn't exactly the same as yours so I improvised. Mind you these values are likely wrong, but from my performance monitor I picked up a minimum of 8.588, max of 89.693 and and average of 32.334.

What windows version are you running? cause windows 7 dynamically adjusts paging file size..
Also you say you're starting up the merc editor, does this mean the Merc Profile Editor.exe?

Get some more free disk space (a few hundreds MBs) on your harddisk, where the paging file is stored. Default harddisk drive is C:
