Hello guys, I'm playin 1.13 RR - day 7 in Machatschkala 3rd square (i think it's mine but not sure now) when I kill 1st enemy and end turn, enemy's turn freezes... It happens at the same point every time, I tried different entries, daytimes, everything.. dunno what to do Sad

Hey Xecu, unfortunately the creator of Renegade Republik is no longer a user on these boards. RR does have a tendency to get unstable esepcially when Militia are involved, but I cannot suggest any help as yet. What version of the game are you using?

rel. b22 I think. There wasn't any militia. Anyway, I tried it like 20 - 30 times differently, then I tried it once more and suddenly it was OK Surprised So I guess It's just about luck Very Happy

I personally back-tracked to release B17 after too many problems. Have you tried entering the map by leaving an adjacent map in the tactical screen? As in command your mercs to leave B2 to the East to enter B3, so all mercs leave that sector and walk to the next?

A couple of guys are still in contact with the Scorpion here, so they may be able to relay a message.

Welcome to the pit xecu.

Now, i advise you to play with the RR_ja2_2124 exe!
It is the most stable one according to my expierence, has some 1.13 features like new inventory and ive played a couple of RR games with it without too much trouble.

There are some things to watch out for though.
Through conversations with The Scorpion, it was more or less confirmed that blackshirt enemies and elite militas can cause crashes upon sector loading and during auto battles due to errors in their equipment files. I was able to work around those crahses mostly by exiting the game, reloading and hoping that the table would generate bug free enemies. Another thing that can cause crashes are sectors with several mercs who are training, its best to let them stop training before entering those sectors.
Again, try the 2124 exe it works much better.
Sadly The Scorpion is working on other projects and has no intention/time to update/fix RR at the time, im still hoping for one glory day when he does. Its still one of the best mods ever made.

Another thing, see it as a tip.
Use Irina the translator you can recruit at the beginning of the game! Not only will she become a pretty good soldier but most of the scripts and conversations in RR can only be triggered right when you use her for the talking. A very high leadership merc may also be able to trigger most of the scripts but Irina gets the best results and some scripts work only through her.
For example she can get a lot of extra items in the beginning when talking to Max in the russian base and she will be able to trigger the Quest of Kamal(i think thats the name) in the sector you arrive upon which he will also give you some weapons. There are even more NPC
