I can chat with my friend but nothing more happens.

Has his IP changed on the server pc since last night?.

Maybe it has and hence now not accepted through the firewall.

Tell him to check the IP of the host machine to the IP he initially put into the router.

As NOOOOO stated: "Box where i have to choose if i want to download his data appears" it means that everything is OK with IP,if there was a problem, "Couldnt connect to server"(or something like that) would appear.

Then how could they play previous time?

Because some routers/ISP`s use dynamic IP addresses just to say that you pc had a certain IP one day does not mean it will have the same a week later.

And all so I agree some games do block the user full stop if the ports are not open BUT some games all so cause other issues like drop out/unwanted latency etc but still allow the client to seem as though it has connected.

In this case I dont know how JA2 will act as I opened the ports straight away but from your comment I assume you have all ready come across this error and JA2 responds with unable to connect to host etc.

Any who good luck OP.

First of all: THANK YOU

I tryed with the PortChecker from PortForward if the Ports are open and so they where.
And how i said, i can chat with my friend but the view doesn't change.
So i'm anyway connected to the server.

Other Tipps?

@NOOOOO: The server should uncheck the checkbox "Synchronize ..." in the HOST screen. In that case, no files are sent to the clients. See if that works.

Started a Server, game crashes after placing the mercs on the map and start the game...
I had the Jagged Alliance 2 Gold version.

Now i use the original version of a friend without first patching to 1.12
Hosting a game works well.

Got no time to try joining a game so far. I'll give you a feedback

Thank for your Help!!!
