Welcome to the pit! Hopefully you will find what you are looking for here amongst an active international community of JA2 Fans. It can be difficult to get a grasp of things there is so much info to take in, especially if you are new to Jagged Alliance or are a JA2 Vet returning after a few years AWOl.

Anyway, these threads should help you out.

i didn't know where to post this so i thought would be ok to post it here, i really like the 1.13 mod but the vanilla maps seem quite empty, i read that wildfire maps are actually compatible with the mod, so i went to try and download them but the discussion of the maps and the download link are both broken so i was wondering if someone could give me a link of where i can found them and where to install them. because i can't find a working link with the maps.

Uh uh. I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

You need to be a little more specific about what links are broken. The links to Kermi's FTP or Silversurfer repositories are the same as always.

You can download the WF maps from the link in my signature. You will need to use some SVN Client like Tortoise SVN unless you want to download the files one by one. ;)
Check the WF6.07 maps readme which is included for installation instructions.

The discussion thread about running WF6.07 maps with JA 1.13 is here.

ty, i'll check out that, btw the broken links are here: h ttp://ja2v113.pbworks.com/w/page/29122191/Map%20Database%20Project%3A%20WildFire (remove the space)
i tried doing a transplant from my steam version of WF to my actual JA2 but... this happened:

i read something in your maps thread about "exe version 7826" that means it works with the latest release/update of 1.13? or i have to do something else apart from the SVN?, i use tortoiseSVN.

Oh the Mediafire thing is dead. Oh well, get them from Kermi or Silver. I think that wiki is Rowa's, no idea why the mediafire upload is dead.

The "shredded umbrella" thing usually happens when the correct tileset is missing.

Just download the maps from SVN and you have what you need. It's the most current version of the maps. Exe 7826 is the minimum exe version that is required for the 6.07 maps unless you want to replace some files.
