I have made some kind of weapon comparison as I advance through the game. Its in the image format. Hope you find it at least somewhat useful:

Each weapon is fitted with best (imo) attachments (sometimes laser isn't the best one. I also prefer 4x scopes or PSO-1) and silent (cold) ammo (if available). Notice that sometimes weapon or extender is damaged so final stats of accuracy or range is lower than in 100% weapon condition.
I will try to update as I continue playing and obtaining new weapons.
It seems that the Enfield L85A2 is the best assault rifle from those. It is very AP-fast and it requires only 1 aiming level. You can make 3 short bursts each round - that can kill 3 "red" enemies - and you will still have some APs left. It is silent enough. And you don't really have to reload so you can skip the reload AP-cost. Crouched handling is very good. If you prefer prone position take Famas G2 (it is also slightly faster, but it lacks the crouch handling)
