Actually I meant that I will be importing the VP70 graphics from IOV/DBB, and using the item index I had previously reserved for a folded stock HK 121.

I am nearly finished with adding items to the initial v4.xx. The VP70 was to save time and make use of an already allocated item index. Going forward all items will have to wait till after v4.00 (all three mods).

I hope to get the common item set done in a week or two. I just finished graphics for the wider selection of 12.3x50mmR rounds (and also replacing the western ammo manufacturer's box with a Russian one).

Highlights:
VP70 & APS Holsters - now can be directly attached (earlier APS stock had to transformed into a stock item first)

Taser X3 - works as both standalone and as an underbarrel weapon.

M41 Prop - will be featured in Gumpy's high end gearkit

Ah, I started adding it before the 2013 SHOT show (where it was announced to the world) and hence included it as the SIG SMG. Guess I better rename it. v4.xx will only have it in .357SIG in plain, K and SD variants. I'm working on finishing off odds and ends for the initial v4.xx item set tomorrow so adding a conversion kit shouldn't be a problem.

This here seems like it would fit right in with AFS/UC.

It was my hope that it would be incorporated with AFS/UC, because of the AR15 upper receiver system. I just wish that Adcor would make a 6.8 variant.

Beyond the pretty picture what's so special (and can be defined in-game) for this piston AR?

We've already got the HK 416 covering 5.56x45mm and .300BLK, LWRC covering 5.45x39mm (as well as its own odd auto rifle mechanism in 5.56 and 6. Cool

I was also kinda curious about what separates it from a HK416 as they are both in the Individual Carbine Competition, have very good quality free-floating barrels, and are piston driven.

The B.E.A.R Elite has a very cool 'Forward placed, reversible/ambidextrous charging handle' in addition to the standard charging handle. Ideally, this makes for faster and more streamlined reloads. Theoretically between the FN made M249 style barrel, dust wiper, and the supposed elimination of carrier tilt, it should make for a much more reliable rifle then most AR15 derivatives. From what I have heard, they work a lot better with suppressors then most SBRs, the location of piston makes for better weight distribution (more control), and good performance when blowing through mags. They also appear to run slightly cheaper then the HKs.

I was thinking that the fully-automatic 10.5 barrel variant what be the best fit, being a controllable, reliable, and accurate SBR with fast reloads.

I apologize for any spelling, typographical errors or if anything is unclear. As I am severely dyslexic when it comes to writing. It's not really working well with my new year's resolution of not being a lurker.

Mm, faster reloads at least with the ambidextrous forward charging handle. No need to lower the gun. Free floating barrel should also make auto fire more controllable. Smart dust cover keeps it cleaner too.
Comes with speedy (in case sight switching AP costs ever come into play) Magpul flipup-sights. Repairs could be a bit trickier to balance the thing. It does seem to have more parts so it does make sense.

Now, I don't know how much of this is new and/or improved over say a 416 but... you know, it sounds real neat.

When producing the initial .410 bore ammo types I did consider lock busting, but could not find any mass produced examples. It seems that breeching rounds are only available in 12 gauge.

Sure, it's railed AR-15 derivative, but there is no examples of them in .30-06 and 7.92x57mm, isn't there?

Another rifle can be VHS-2 , since being bullpup with adjustable stock does make it somewhat unique.

I've harvested a few graphics from IoV, and have run into a major problem with Helmet/face armour addon's as a concept - these attachments should, but cannot be incompatible with certain face items. Short of someone adding a feature where armour values can be read from the face slots (to be applied to the head), best I can come up with are attachments that add modest improvements to the helmet.

Additionally, the helmets seem to have too much coverage to begin with. I'm thinking of dropping their coverage, while increasing their protective value a tad (helmets being relatively small and inflexible items should be stronger than soft body armour).

Also adding:
- STG-76/45/34k (in 9x19mm, .45ACP and 7.62x25mm, various stock options)
- Shooters Arms SAS-12 pump action shotgun (that can use some AR accessories)
- STK Ultimax 100Mk5

Considering:
- VHS2

Reading armor values from the face slots would be unhelpful, as then one could wear the mask along with an unfitting helmet (I don't think this stuff would be compatible with WW2 steel helmets). So it seems to me you want the face incompatibility functions to take into account helmet attachments (and possible helmets themselves). Correct?

Yes, that is the effect I am wanting.

Guess this means I should get all the graphics from IoV ready. As far as v1.13 is concerned, this will stop the EOD helmet from working with any face items (as it should be for realism and/or balance).

Had a look at the face items code, and wether it can be fitted to work with helmets and helmet attachments.

There is major flaw: The way I had it in mind, we would simply add helmets and their attachments to the CompatibleFaceItems.xml, and expand the code to take in helmets and helmet attachments. However, that would make the much used and reasonable concept of storing sunglasses/NVGs on helmets infeasible, for obvious reasons...

Either store face items on helmets, or have incompatibility expanded to helmets, we can't have both (unless I make the xml unreasonably more complicated, which I'd hate).
