That would not help. If we define the helmet slot to be storage, then all helmets are storage, so nothing would be incompatible.
The problem is that a NVG 1 in faceslot 1 should compatible to NVG 2 as a helmet attachment, but not to a armourmask attached to the same helmet. We could achieve that by having NVG 1 and NVG 2 being compatible... but then you could wear them at the same time, getting superior boni.
Edit: ah, to attachment slots... :puke: nah, the attachment system is already way too complicated.

FlugenteHad a look at the face items code, and wether it can be fitted to work with helmets and helmet attachments.
There is major flaw: The way I had it in mind, we would simply add helmets and their attachments to the CompatibleFaceItems.xml, and expand the code to take in helmets and helmet attachments. However, that would make the much used and reasonable concept of storing sunglasses/NVGs on helmets infeasible, for obvious reasons...
Either store face items on helmets, or have incompatibility expanded to helmets, we can't have both (unless I make the xml unreasonably more complicated, which I'd hate).
There would be a lot of anger if we did something to helmet storage... even it is optional.
Can we add a tag/flag for non-face items to be considered for incompatibility with face items when they are attached to the helmet. Attachment without this tag, such as face items, simply will not be checked for incompatibility.
EDIT: actually, can we have this tag used for any time an attached (in-use) attachment may come into conflict with a face item... perhaps we can stop people from stacking NVG and NV scope bonuses. Try shouldering a weapon with a NV scope and the player will be told to remove the NVG.

There are a ton of handguns, SMGs, assault rifles. What i feel missing are more rifles, battle and sniper rifles.
Speaking of... hopefully i got the term "battle rifle" right.
I'll post a list of requests, but that doesn't mean i "want" to see "all" of them. If you chose 2 battle and 2 sniper rifles and maybe 1 of the covert ops rifles this would be glorious already :cheerleader:

One note: when speaking of "tactical" rifles, i'm actually meaning "upper and maybe lower RIS mounting for almost all attachment wishes a merc could possibly ever have".

Long range is one part of the sniper rifles, damage another. I tried to find "light weight" versions of long range/large caliber weapons, that could prove useful for a mercenary organisation in terms of damage and transportation.

Sorry, i think now i get you: my requests were targeted towards AFS which allows for some long range fighting. That and the part about damage.

ParkanYour Mods (UC,AFS,DL) have already a very huge variation of weapons for ja2 1.13 mod.It is too bad that only 15-20 percent of all weapons in game can be obtained from enemy,other 80-85 percent of weapons can be obtained from buy from BR or rarely obtained on maps.I am having two proposals:
1.Don't add new weapons to mods(UC,AFS,DL),it is already have HUGE(REALLY) variatons of weapons.
2.Maybe increase enemy gun choices,so enemy soldiers all time will have really random weapons not only 1-30 type of guns.(fill every progress of item choices of enemy to full-every 50 slots of game progress)

When work restarts on AFS/DL-1.13/UC-1.13 I will be restoring the vendor specific sub-mods in AFS. Right now AFS is operating on a v1.13 like system where most guns are in use. The only exception being most of the new ones.
I'm not expecting to produce anything major, aside from revamping the documentation, till September at the earliest. Enjoy the mod as it is folks!

Rate of fire, caliber, weight, internals (bolt and gas operation), effective range of fire, magazine size, accuracy/MOA, etc.
Flugente1. Open Items.xml, copy Ghillie items.
2. On new items, replace 20 with 20 etc.

If you want these things to be created from woodland ghillies, you could simply add transformations: woodland ghillie + desert camo = desert ghillie etc.
I feel something is missing:
Copied the Ghillie items, changed Camo to DesertCamo. Messed with uiIndex (first unchanged, then increased to "last count+1" ) coolness (lowered/raised) new games started... but the modiefied Ghillie's don't appear ingame.
Is there an additional change needed ?

[edit] now that i think of it: what changes would be needed so that enemies chose the new Ghillies on desert maps - or is it a general choice which the AI does ?
