M16AMachinegunAdditionally, is there anyway to include caliber conversion kits for the Desert Eagle, including a 10" barrel version? the Deagle XIX can swap out the barrel, bolt, and magazine to switch between .357mag, .44mag, .41-somethin or other, and .50AE. Having three deagles potentially condenced into one would make the heavy pistol at least somewhat more useful vs having to purchase specialty ammunition for it.
Recommend recycling the graphics for the ACR conversion kit, or using some other suitcase-like graphic.
Re-deagling yer deagle to deagle some fools with some other deagle food is deagle-tastic!

In summary, conversion kit for the three desert eagle variants (you can keep the color change)? Potentially including a 10" barrel variant, if we can get an artist on that?
This would be doable before the end of the year (after I get that map replaced in UC-1.13). Initially four items:
DE Frame
DE .357 barrel/spring/slide
DE .41 barrel/spring/slide
DE .50 AE barrel/spring/slide
The conversion process would like the AR-15 and MDR, rather than that used FN SCAR or Steyr AUG. One extra item, the frame, but easier to manage mergers and item transformations.

M16AMachinegunOnly other thing i can suggest is the Crye Precision Six12 shotgun. It'd essentially be a semi-auto Masterkey with a 6-round magazine.

M16AMachinegunBesides that, I don't recall if you updated this or not, but the FN MAG needs an optic rail OR a variant that's introduced later that has one, like the US Army's M240B. Looked at the FN website, I have an urge to replace the Mk.48 graphic (using one from IoV presently). Something to do in 2015.
I'm thinking about dispensing with the Desert Eagle Rail kit in v4.50 (Full Release) and just giving the Desert Eagle a RIS optics rail from the start. I may recycle the double rail graphic for a FN MAG rail kit so that I can limit availability. I did consider just using the generic Scope mount RIS, but this way I can give the MAG a forward set of rails as well.
M16AMachinegunAs for other 7.62x51mm LMGs, I vaugely recall the HK 21E missing the ability to include optics as well.
Is this simply oversight, or for balance reasons? Checked all three mods, the HK 21E should be able to accept the same optics, laser sight, and scope adapter as the G3/MP5's. Will test in-game during final tests.

When I originally heard about this mod I was pretty estatic and was enthusiastic about having my author-insert merc carrying 2-3 spare uppers for ARs and swapping them in as ammo counts runs low.
...Well, that never happened, but it does happen with the pistol caliber weapons. Specifically the Desert Eagle, which uses a similar receiver + 'upper' now to the ARs that I sorta feel like it needs a dedicated case to store the extra barrels and whatnot, or SOME way of easing the limited inventory space.
I came up with a few solutions that could be applied to ARs.
1: Having an item to flat out merge uppers with and then applying it to an existing weapon much like how the Bushmaster ACR or SIG MPX works
Cons: Would likely eat/destroy attachments, hundreds of thousands of variants to individually code, ruins the point of actually being able to separate the upper receiver from the lower
2: Having a dummy 'gun' which the extra parts can be 'attached' to for storage, including but not limited to an entire working gun. With the Underbarrel mod from a few months/years back we can attach guns to guns, so
Cons: "Remove All Attachments" could screw with this, EVERY SINGLE AR/Deagle variant/upper/lower needs to be modified to be an attachment
3: Allowing extra uppers to be 'stored' in the Internal Storage slot. Same as 2 but doesn't require a new item
Cons: Severely limited amount of extra uppers to be stored, potentially infringes on the realism factor
4: Dedicated Backpack (or combat pack) for storing extra uppers/lowers/ammo
Pros: Uses existing architecture/code, might require specific pockets to ONLY hold uppers/lowers
Cons: Dealing with backpacks in combat, remembering to take out of backpack before you Drop All Backpacks in case you want to use it in the field, etc; Gear Bag might already work for this sh*t
Of course, changing uppers in combat is sort of a moot point anyway because the argument of "Why not just bring another working gun" is exceptionally strong that I sometimes notice I bog down one or two of my favorite/favored mercs with 4-6 guns at a time

Carbines/SMGs are obselete when you have Pistols 2x
Once you use a Walter PPS to one-shot enemies at 20 squares, you can't go back to using automatics, especially how SLOW they are.
I mean seriously, it's like you can get 15 or so shots off with a pistol, and meanwhile you can't even get two aimed 3-rnd bursts with an MP5SD6
...Granted, the MP5SD is naked and the pistol has a red dot sight...
But no, My personal-insert merc's loadout is usually
KAC SR-25 or DT SRS
Some AR/Carbine
Some Grenade Launcher, sometimes attached to the AR/Carbine (I'm prolly gonna pick up and keep an F2000 WS)
Grenades out the wazoo, i generally use em a lot too
Scoped Desert Eagle or suppressed SOCOM
and more recently a Walther PPS (fits in a Small pocket!)

Any chance at expanding the MPX's calibers to additionally taking .40S&W and 9x19 with conversion kits?
Also, the SIG MCX rifle looks quite amazing, like a top-tier AR upper. Hyper-reliable, suppressible, has a folding stock...

Now in the few minutes I've had looking into these new Sigs the Pistol Brace Stock (PSB) caught my eye. Looks like I'll have to examine how attachments are handled again to add this. I may be able to get away with classing this as an AR stock.
As far as new variants, I should be able to use existing resources to produce another system of uppers/lowers/weapons/badly done (and repetitive) graphics.
MPX (redone) in:
- MPX (Standard), MPX-K, MPX-P, MPX-PSB, MPX-SD, MPX-C
- .357SIG, 9x19mm, .40 S&W
- folding and telescopic stock options
MPC in:
- Carbine, SBR, PSB
- 5.56mm, 7.62x39mm, .300BLK
- folding and telescopic stock options
- compatibility between MPC upper receivers and existing in game lowers and (probably) new SIG lower(s)
I've been meaning to produce an AR upper in 7.62x39mm, but have put off researching if 7.62x39mm would fit the magazine well of a 5.56mm lower. Now if the mods had a 7.62x51mm lower...
