Still very little effort put into people's LBE. Too bad.
Everything else looks promising though.

It change in 92x. Together with a large backpack small backpack with assault rifles are now fit. Only a small backpack with a single large pocket to put rifle. 924 also adds a short assault rifle strapping , in some small backpack can be used.

Sorry for my poor English ^_^

Don't use XML Editor. Because ITEMSIZE in IoV extended to 54. So when you use XML Editor, all item's ITEMSIZE(large then 34) will restore the default 34(1.13 default).

Assuming the only difference is the maximum itemsize, try this XML Editor, which just increases (or it should) the maximum itemsize from 34 to 54.

DISCLAIMER
I cannot guarantee that this will work, so do backup your files before using it

Download links
Removed until extra tag is added.

Now if this works, let's see if we can have it read the maximum itemsize from somewhere.

- because ITEMSIZE's problem, When XML Editor loading Pockets.xml go to error.

- IoV have new weapon's parameter: MalfunctionRate, XML Editor don't supported.

The XML Editor I had uploaded had the itemsize increased to 54, so pockets.xml shouldn't be a problem.
Let me download IoV and see about MalfunctionRate, and see if I can get XML to work with that.

DISCLAIMER
There could be (and probably are) a few errors, so do make a backup of your files before using it. I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to solve any problems you may encounter using this program, but it should be as safe as the normal XML Editor.

Image 1
Image 2

There are 2 xml files that need modifying, first is pockets.xml which contains
pockets.xml
but there are only 62 silhouettes defined, so change this one to
62
(or whatever zwwooooo tells you to).
The second one is Attachments.xml, which contains a few duplicate entries. These are
attachments.xml

Remove the duplicate entries, and xml editor should work.
Grab the xml editor from one of the 3 links below, copy all the tabledata to one folder, and use the xml editor.

Current XML Editor (both the modified one and the 1.13 one) do not work correctly with multiple gearkits. I will try to see if I can fix this, but I am not sure if I can.
Best bet for now is to use Dansken's Merc Starting Gear Editor or just keep a copy of the MercStartingGear.xml somewhere, and replace it after doing the changes from the XML editor.

If anything changes, I'll post it back here again.

Try this one, should work, or at least it did give me a working MercStartingGear.xml file.
The editor does remove any non-needed lines, so the xml files will be smaller, but it seems to work.
So, again, use with caution, and keep a backup of your files.

I did everything as it was explained and I still keep getting the damned "Input string is not in the correct format" error. I've been playing this game for about 10 years and I had it setup perfectly on my old computer. The computer died, had to get a new one and my old configuration won't work on it. I've spent nearly a year trying to fix it somewhere close to what I had. It shouldn't be that friggin' difficult.

Here's how I got it working.
First I got my cleanly installed copy of JA2 and copied it to a new folder, JA2 - IoV
Second, I got Tais' unstable SCI, extracted it to a temporary folder, and copied it to JA2 - IoV
Third, I got all 4 of IoV archives (probably only the latest is needed, but better safe), and extracted them in order each to another temporary folder.
Fourth, I moved everything to the JA2 - IoV folder, putting them in the place they need to be.
Fifth, I moved everything from the Data-IoV folder to the Data-1.13, overwriting.
Sixth, I removed all IoV references from vfs_config.IoV.ini
Finally, using the modified XML Editor, I could view and modify files.

To run the game, use the ja2_IoV.exe

I haven't really tested the XML editor, so do tell me a bit more about the "input string error", and I'll see if I can help you.
