Climbing was a feature that was talked about, but never materialized.
Gas is not synchronized so that makes gas masks useless anyways.
I do not believe there is consistent work (If any) being done to it.

It does have a lot of potential.
You should also try Fight For Freedom: Tactics. It is a modification for Jagged alliance 2 Multiplayer.

With this, "new starting gear kits", feature, we have the potential to get games into action FASTER.
Think skirmishes.
We can have the ability to have our team randomly chosen or we have the ability to pick groupings of predetermined mercenaries. For example, The Americans, The Russians and Eastern Bloc, The Rebels, The British Empire, et cetera.
Team size depends on user preference.
6 would be the best because every merc could have a role.
Scout - Binoculars, Crystal meth, High agility
Medic - Med kit, Regen boosters, High Agility
Machine Gunner - Strength, L.B.E.s for hauling equipment, High health
Sniper - concealment through ghillie suit or various other wears, Back up pistol
Sapper/Heavy Weapons - Explosives, mines, artillery, bazookas,
Rifleman/Assaulter - Semiautomatic or single shot rifle
You get the point right???
